Gorenje has teamed up with Ora-Ïto, the world-famous French designer of the younger generation. His intrepid ideas launched him to the very top of the world of design. His concepts are futuristic and provocative. The result of this cooperation is a trendy range of technologically perfected household appliances the Gorenje Ora-Ïto Collection. Available in black and white.

Ora-Ïto has designed for the world’s major brands, such as Heineken, Adidas, Ogo, Artemide, B&B, Capellini, L'Oréal, Toyota, LaCie, Danone, Christofle, Ballantine's, Sagem, Davidoff and many more. He has received many awards, including the ‘Oscar for Best Packaging Design’, the ‘Janus Award’ in 2006 and 2007,’ and the ‘Red Dot Design Award’.

Simplexity

Ora-Ïto characterizes his recognizable style as simplexity: simple yet complex. With unnecessary surplus taken away, only the clean design lines remain.

Futuristic kitchen

The unique Futuristic kitchen in the shape of a rounded cube was also created in cooperation with Ora-Ïto. Made of a high-tech composite material was designed as a fully mobile setting to display the Gorenje Ora-Ïto Collection as it clocks up the miles through many European capitals. Throughout its journey it has covered over 14.000 kilometres.

Touch control screen

The vertical black line running the length of the fridge freezer has an integrated touch control screen, which is almost invisible at a distance. The easy to use interactive screen extends the refrigerator functions and gives information on a number of useful features including food storage and energy saving.

Quick view

A band of black glass flows down the front of the fridge freezer doors. By using the touch screen, a square area of that band becomes transparent. This window offers a practical but always tantalising glimpse of what is inside the fridge.

The combination of dark natural wood & solid aluminium creates a unique shelf which is versatile, multifunctional and can be removed and used as a serving tray.

The oven features a solid aluminium handle which crosses the black glazed surface like a bridge and a touch control screen decorates the upper part of the oven. Perfect drying

Perfect drying is achieved by using the residual heat from the last hot rinse. As the inside of the appliance housing cools down faster than the dishes, the remaining steam condenses on the interior of the dishwasher, drains to the bottom, and evaporates. The result: perfectly dried dishes.

Height adjustable baskets

Both the upper and the lower basket on some of our models can be adapted to fit the size and the shape of your dishes. The racks in the lower basket can be folded to provide space for larger items. The upper basket can be moved up to create room for oversized plates. The party glass holder in the upper basket has been specifically designed for delicate stem glasses. The larger, bottom basket also features a compartmentalised cutlery basket to accommodate all types of kitchen utensils.

AquaStop anti-flooding system On selected models with the Aquastop safety feature, the dishwasher can be safely left to operate at night as well as in your absence. In case of leakage or flooding, AquaStop automatically cuts off the water supply while the pump siphons the residual water out of the dishwasher basin. AquaStop remains fully functional for the duration of the working life of the appliance.

For best wash results

Gorenje recommends the use of separate salt, powder and rinse aid for all models, however the GV62224UK has a '3in1' program where only this tablet type can be used. Gorenje will not accept any consequential liability for poor wash results due to the lack of any of these detergents, the effects of a separate mains water softener and where any tablets are used in conjunction with rinse aid. Please see your Gorenje retailer for further information.

Prevent temperature shocks A special heat exchanger gradually increases the water temperature in the dishwasher preventing cold water from flowing over hot surfaces, so your dishes are not exposed to temperature shocks. Hygiene is also improved as the heat exchanger allows effective drying without using air from outside the machine. When the dishwasher is opened after washing, you will not experience clouds of steam.

Gorenje’s cutting edge Frost Free Advantage technology circulates chilled air around the storage areas, reducing the level of humidity in the freezer to prevent the formation of ice on food items and in the appliance interior. Frozen items don’t stick together, which provides a better overview of the freezer contents, while even temperature control helps to preserve the quality, colour and aroma of the stored food. No accumulated ice means optimal utilisation of the storage space; at the same time, the need for time consuming defrosting is completely eliminated. In addition to upright freezers, this technology is also incorporated in Gorenje’s fridge freezers. A key advantage of the Gorenje Frost Free system when used in a fridge freezer, is it effectively eliminates moisture from the freezer section only, whilst maintaining the correct level of humidity in the fridge section. This prevents food from drying out and ensures perfect conditions for the long-term storage of fruit and vegetables. Your lettuce will stay crisper and fresher much longer than in the models featuring a Total Frost Free system in both sections of the combined appliance.

Fan system

To provide uniformly distributed temperature across the refrigerator, we have installed a fan into the appliance interior. The fan propels air circulation, thus improving the cooling performance. Such system will preserve the food and ready-made dishes for a longer period of time, regardless of which shelf the food is stored on. Furthermore, the fan prevents accumulation condensation on glass shelves and interior walls.

In Gorenje refrigerators, bottles do not take up the space that could be conveniently used to store other items in the refrigerator door shelves or on glass shelves; the designated bottle holder ensures optimum use of storage space. The benefit of glass shelves

Glass shelves in Gorenje refrigerators are made of safety glass. They are highly resistant and can withstand up to 40 kilograms of weight. In case of spillage, the fluid will not drip onto the shelf below. Glass shelves provide excellent support even to food in small and narrow packaging. They are also easy to clean.

Deep door bottle shelf

Touch control electronic programming timer

Gorenje single ovens feature an innovative sensor controlled electronic timer. Touch control enables you to set the cooking time and select the right temperature, which can be monitored on the control panel display during the entire cooking process. An alarm sounds at the end of cooking process. The surface of the innovative electronic timer is perfectly smooth, which makes it extremely easy to clean. The new electronic programming timers – Gorenje’s latest innovation for a user friendly operation!

DirecTOUCH, perfect results at your fingertips

This innovative patented electronic programme module has revolutionised the touch-screen operation of the next generation of Gorenje hobs and Built-In single Ovens. Three simple steps is all it takes – cooking has never been easier! After turning the oven on, make your selection by touching the symbol indicating the dish you want to cook, then press “Start” (see below chart for options available). Numerous preset programmes automatically set the right combination of heating elements, temperature and cooking time. Large and clearly recognizable symbols make the oven easy to use while still leaving you the freedom to set all cooking parameters (heating element, temperature, cooking time, meat probe) according to your preferences and cooking ability. Your favourite settings can be stored in the memory and simply recalled when you use the oven next. A Child Safety Lock is an additional advantage of the electronic module preventing unsupervised use of the oven. Chicken

Roasting on the shelf in middle level guide, drip pan is placed one level below. The temperature setting will be 170 °C, duration 1 hour for a chicken of 1 kg.

The oven will preheat for 8 minutes to 200 °C. After preheating place the pizza in the middle level guide in shallow pan or on a baking stone. Baking time 10 minutes for a pizza of 400 g.

Roasting on the shelf in the upper level guide (drip pan is placed one level below) with door closed. Turn the meat around halfway through roasting. Oven temperature is 240 °C, roasting time 25 minutes for 4 x 200 g.

Roasting in small pan on the shelf in the middle level guide. Oven temperature is 195 °C, roasting time 1 hour 50 minutes for 1 kg roast.

The oven will preheat for five - six minutes to 160 °C. Baking in shallow pans at two levels simultaneously (2nd and th 4 from the bottom). Baking time 25 min. for 2 x 300 g.

Baking in a cake tin on the shelf. Place it in the 2nd level guide from the bottom. Oven temperature is 160 °C, baking time 1 hour for 1 kg of dough.

Baking on shallow tray in middle level guide. The temperature setting will be 200 °C, duration 1 hour and 15 minutes for a 1.5kg of dough.

FastPreheat, 200 °C in 6 minutes

Preheating for 3 minutes to 40 °C. Rise dough in a bowl, placed on the shelf in 2nd guide from below.

According to market research, a rapid-preheat function is one of the more desirable oven features. By virtue of the oven’s special vaulted design and use all the heating elements it takes only 6 minutes for the oven temperature to reach 200 °C. A minimum 30 % time saving means that you can serve your pizzas, cakes and other dishes that require a preheated oven faster than ever before. A built-in light and sound alarm will alert you when the oven has reached the desired temperature.

Place the frozen food on the shelf in the middle of the oven. Dripping pan is placed in the guide below.

Pour half a litre of tap water into a deep baking tray and place it in the 2nd level guide from the bottom. Set the oven temperature on 50 °C for half an hour.

Superior EcoClean enamel coated ovens and baking trays

The oven interior features a superior EcoClean enamel coating, which is so smooth and impermeable that heat is reflected into the centre of the cavity rather than absorbed into the panels and trays. This innovative solution produces an even distribution of heat inside the oven, which delivers significant energy savings and outstanding cooking results. The non-stick EcoClean enamel coating prevents fat from adhering to the panels of the oven or the tray, which in turn makes cleaning a piece of cake. Most oven models additionally feature the highly convenient AquaClean option. Just pour half a litre of tap water into a baking tray, place it into the oven and select the AquaClean option. The steam generated by the auto-heat programme (70 째C) acts to soften the dirt and grease on the oven walls and shelves. After approximately half an hour simply wipe down the oven with a soft cloth. Using no cleaners whatsoever, the result is astounding as well as environmentally friendly.

Cooking can be a real pleasure, even more so with the smart selection of a suitable model from Gorenjeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s large range of hobs. Glass ceramic induction, or HiLight burners with their special UseLogicÂŽ technology; gas burners on glass ceramic, glass or stainless steel, as well as with extra wok burners and Gorenje manufactures a variety of hobs designed for joining into combinations that can contribute to some exciting and delicious experiences. While each type of hob has its own advantages, all Gorenje models are distinguished by their excellent design.

SliderTouch control at your fingertips

With a touch control glass ceramic hob you can set the temperature by simply moving your finger over the multipoint temperature scale on the surface of the hob. Complete control over the cooking process at your fingertips is the result of the increased sensitivity and responsiveness of your hob.

Induction hobs

When it comes to professional cooking, gas hobs have just run into a serious contender. The key advantages of induction hobs lie in their speed (twice as fast as conventional gas), economy of use, and safety.

HOBS

Instant response

With induction technology only the surface under of the pan is heated, not the entire hob. As a result, the adjacent hob surface, which is not in contact with the cookware, is cool and safe to touch. Once the pan has been removed from the zone or the zone has been switched off, the temperature of the hob surface drops rapidly. Due to the instant responsiveness of the induction zone, there is no danger of boiling over, which also spares you the inconvenient and unpleasant chore of extra cleaning. By a simple touch of your fingertips you can easily adjust the temperature when preparing various sauces, melting chocolate or performing other temperature-sensitive cooking operations.

Gorenje's wide range of options also includes an induction hob with three cooking zones, the largest of which, measuring 26 cm in diameter, is ideally suited for the preparation of large amounts of food at a time.

PowerBoost for enhanced induction

The Powerboost feature further enhances the performance of the induction hob.

BoilControl

The BoilControl function prevents pans from boiling over as it automatically adjusts the temperature of all cooking zones. After initial operation at maximum heat the hob regulates the heat output to hold the temperature at the set level. Can be switched on or off any time. Your pans will never boil over ever again!

Using the right type of cookware Any pan with a ferromagnetic bottom (this can be easily checked with an ordinary magnet) can be used for cooking on an induction hob.

* I mportant note: Induction hobs require some clearance beneath them for sufficient cooling. Please check with your retailer on the measurements required for installation, where drawers and ovens are to be placed beneath the hob.

Pan size recognition

Another advantage of an induction hob is its ability to recognise the size of the pan placed within the cooking zone. When the zone is switched on, the â&#x20AC;&#x153;Uâ&#x20AC;? sign lights up. If a pan is placed on the zone within the next ten minutes, it is automatically detected and the zone operates according to the parameters set. If a smaller pan is placed within the cooking zone, this too is detected and the hob only uses as much power as the size of the particular pan requires.

Safety switch-off function

In order to ensure maximum safety, the uninterrupted operation of each hob is time limited. When the time limit of continual operation is reached, the hob switches off automatically.

Extremely easy to clean

As the hob only heats the surface directly under the pan, you do not have to worry about cleaning if a pan boils over, as nothing sticks or burns onto the hob. If something spills, simply wipe it away with a wet cloth. IT641 & IT741 have pre-set cooking functions e.g. Simmer.

Residual heat indicators (H)

Ensuring even greater safety, residual energy indicators illuminate to reveal which zones of the hob are still radiating heat. As long as an indicator is lit, the respective heating zone should not be touched. It can, however, be used for defrosting or maintaining a dish warm.

Timer

When preparing a dish, which you know from experience takes a certain amount of time to complete, you can set the timer for up to 99 minutes. When the cooking is concluded, the hob switches off automatically and activates an audio signal.

Overheat protection

The induction hob is also equipped with a built-in overheating protection device that protects the electronic parts against damage as a consequence of excess heat. The device operates in several stages. When the temperature of a cooking zone increases considerably, it switches on a two-stage fan. Then, if necessary, it inactivates the power boost function, prior to any automatic reduction of power to the cooking zones and eventual switch off. When the hob cools down sufficiently, its entire heating surface and power is again available.

ChildLock for safety

The ChildLock function prevents children from interfering with or resetting the selected parameters, thus also providing protection against accidental activation and operation of the hob.

StopGo for maximum convenience

This feature allows you to temporarily suspend the cooking process when unexpectedly called away. One touch of the StopGo key freezes all settings, giving you time to go and safely answer the door or deal with an emergency. All active heating zones are thus temporarily switched off until reactivated by the StopGo key.

NoLimits induction hob

If you feel that the size of the pan and the limits of the heating zone restrict your cooking experience, the new induction hob is the right choice for you. Innovative technology includes sensor recognition of the pan, which paves the way for optimum use of the cooking hob. The hob features four cooking zones marked by a tiny circle with letter ÂťPÂŤ in the centre. Another remarkable advantage of this appliance is that every cooking zone has its own touch control module!

Two- or three-ring and oval heating zones

Two- or three ring heating zones make it possible for your hob to adapt precisely to the various cookware used. The oval heating zone is ideal for cooking large cuts of meat or fish. By simply switching on the extra rings, you can increase the cooking zone as required, thereby saving valuable energy.

A brand new shape: the â&#x20AC;&#x153;4-in-a-rowâ&#x20AC;? hob

The attractive 90 x 35 cm 4-in-a-row hob, with its series of four ergonomically positioned cooking zones, enables full visibility as well as the placement of various utensils in front or behind the cooking area. This hob is also distinguished by its unique electronic control, enabling temperature regulation through simply moving a finger over a multipoint scale on the surface of the hob. A complete overview of hob operation is provided by an electronic display.

Enhanced burners

Extremely powerful gas burners heat the pots on accelerated rate, which allows you to prepare your dishes within minutes. Vegetables will be crispy and cooked just right, and will retain more vitamins, minerals and other nutrients compared to food cooked in a conventional way.

Flame failure devices

For improved safety in your kitchen all Gorenje gas hobs feature a device which will automatically turn off the gas in the event that the flame extinguishes during the operation of a burner!

Easy-to-clean filters

Metal filters in the Gorenje hoods, which are designed to remove fat particles, can be easily removed and cleaned. You can wash them by hand or in a dishwasher using a ‘gentle wash’ programme. However, acrylic or paper filters used for the same purpose can be simply replaced with new ones.

Superior performance, ease of operation

The extraction capacity of a cooker hood should match the size of the room the hood is designed to ventilate. Contemporary trends in home design, where the kitchen has become a place for eating and entertaining, as well as cooking, also calls for a higher capacity hoods. To ensure effective ventilation of a 50 m2 room, a hood with an extraction capacity of 300 m3/h is required. However, in Gorenje’s comprehensive range of hoods you will also find highcapacity models featuring a maximum extraction rate of 811 m3/h. Gorenje hoods can be operated mechanically or by easy to use elegant touch control. The rate of extraction can be adjusted by up to four different fan speed settings. Important: Before selecting a cooker hood, please check with your retailer to ensure that the hood chosen is suitable for your hob. This is particulaly relevant if a hob wider than 60 cm is used. When installing a hood over an induction hob, condensation may form on the hood. This is normal. Gorenje will not hold any consequential liability due to this. If in doubt, please speak to your retailer.

Extraction vs. re-circulation

Dependant upon your requirements you can choose between extraction and re-circulating hoods. Extraction hoods draw in cooking fumes and trap vapours through in a filter while expelling odours to the outside through a ventilation duct. Recirculating hoods draw in steam and odour saturated air through a filter, then returns the treated air into the kitchen. For superior performance, a carbon filter (available separately) can also be installed.

Halogen lighting

Gorenje hoods are designed to ensure the optimal illumination of your hob. Some models use Halogen light which burn more brightly and are also more energy efficient.
