Harris Corporation’s Fourth Advanced Baseline Imager Complete and Ready for Weather Satellite Integration Sept. 27, 2016 MELBOURNE Fla. -- Harris Corporation’s (NYSE:HRS) fourth Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) has completed a pre-ship review with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and NASA. The instrument now is complete and will be ready for future integration onto the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite – U Series (GOES-U) spacecraft, which is part of NOAA’s nextgeneration weather satellite series. ABI is the world’s most advanced geostationary weather instrument. It captures continuous images of Earth – scanning the entire globe in five minutes versus 26 minutes with the currently operational GOES satellites. For rapidly changing events like thunderstorms, hurricanes, or fires, ABI can take images as often as every 30 seconds. “Every second counts during severe weather events. ABI can scan a thunderstorm 22,300 miles from Earth in the same time as it takes to snap and upload a selfie to social media,” said Eric Webster, vice president, Harris Environmental Solutions. “ABI will improve every aspect of severe weather forecasting, which will help save lives and property.” ABI also will provide images of conditions current GOES satellites cannot including dust, sea ice, volcanic ash, fog, clouds, water vapor, vegetation, winds and carbon dioxide. An international version of ABI is operational over Japan on board the Himawari-8 satellite, where it has tracked storms like Typhoons Nepartak and Soudelor. Harris has built seven ABIs: four for the United States, two for Japan, and one for South Korea. Harris also built the ground system for NOAA’s GOES-R series of satellites, which will command and control the satellites and all instruments on board, and process 60 times more data than today’s GOES satellites. The ground system will make it possible for meteorologists to receive critical weather data in 30 seconds by using a customized high-speed processing infrastructure designed to reduce information bottlenecks caused by the high data volume. The first GOES-R satellite carrying the ABI is expected to launch Nov. 4 from Cape Canaveral, Fla. The next in the series, GOES-S, is expected to launch in 2018; followed by GOES-T in 2019 and GOES-U in 2024. About Harris Corporation Harris Corporation is a leading technology innovator, solving customers’ toughest mission-critical challenges by providing solutions that connect, inform and protect. Harris supports customers in more than 100 countries and has approximately $7.5 billion in annual revenue and 21,000 employees worldwide. Celebrating a 30 Year Business Anniversary! February 23, 2016 - For the past 30 years, InstaKey Security Systems has prided themselves on client-driven best practices to help meet the demand of a changing business landscape. It began in 1986, when the business was formed from the search for a simpler alternative to rekeying a facility after hours. “There just had to be a better way. We knew the day the rekeyable lock technology was invented, that we had something powerful”, recalls Scott Serani, President and CoFounder. Early in the 1990’s, InstaKey Security Systems added additional product lines such as small format interchangeable cores (SFIC) and unique serialized keys to help meet the increased demand for simplicity and cost savings. Significant government contracts and client referrals helped raise awareness about this revolutionary program. As the lock and key technology matured, InstaKey Security Systems didn’t just stop with the hardware, as they felt there was a better way to manage the information. In 2003, their integrated KeyControl® Program was released. This new program would link together the four Key Control cornerstones, setting them apart as a solution provider. Through restricted serialized keys, rekeyable lock cylinders, patented key management software, and a devotion to program administration, a total Program was born. In 2006, the cloud-based management software platform, SecurityRecords.com®, was patented, making “real-time” key tracking and decentralized program administration a reality. Through accessing KeyControl® Program information from anywhere, security management became much simpler to utilize and communicate. In 2014, a KeyControl® Dashboard was next released into the SecurityRecords.com® platform allowing clients transparency and visibility into all of their Program’s requirements. Through a simplistic design on their homepage, visual charts identify exceptions leading to detailed reporting. When asked what makes him most proud of his 30 year tenure, Scott Serani replied, “It’s the relationships with our clients. They are not just clients, but our partners and friends. We know they rely upon us and that we share the same level of commitment and dedication to their security and safety.” Through developing and retaining talent, over 50% of current personnel are tenured with 10+ years. This combined industry knowledge and commitment to their clients provide the most simplistic and cost effective KeyControl® Program. InstaKey Security Systems would like to take this opportunity to express its appreciation to all clients, distributors, vendors, and business partners for their continued support and commitment over the years. It’s the collective efforts of these amazing people that has made simple Key Control possibilities, a reality. What’s next for InstaKey Security Systems? You’ll just have to wait and see! ###

Japan Airlines Extends Boeing Parts Solutions Agreement 10 Years Sept. 28, 2016 SINGAPORE -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced today an agreement with Japan Airlines to extend its partnership with the company to provide spare parts solutions for another 10 years. The renewed Japan Airlines agreement for Boeing’s GoldCare Expendables, formerly Integrated Materials Management (IMM), is an expendable parts service solution that builds on more than a decade of success. The partnership reduces the airline’s operating costs by having Boeing manage a majority of its spare parts inventory, providing items to the airline mechanic as needed. Under the agreement, Boeing will provide the service through 2026. According to Japan Airlines, Boeing’s exceptional customer support and parts solutions were key factors in the decision to extend the contract. “Boeing is pleased to continue our long-standing partnership with Japan Airlines, helping to improve operating efficiencies through our parts service,” said Rick Anderson, vice president of sales and marketing, Boeing Commercial Aviation Services. “Our focus is on providing our customers what they need, before they know they need it. This approach, along with our world-class customer support, is what continues to make Boeing a preferred parts provider across the globe.” The Japan Airlines order demonstrates the increased flexibility of Boeing’s parts business, which continues to evolve and improve based on customer needs and requirements. In 2015, Boeing increased inventory by 35,000 parts and lowered prices on 24,000 parts. In addition, Boeing has nearly doubled stocked parts for out-of-production airplanes and is offering emergent-build capabilities for customers who need to find parts for out-of-production fleet types. Boeing is a leader in providing 24/7 support and service to the global aviation industry. In addition to its expanded parts business, Boeing offers the industry’s largest portfolio of services, including retrofits and modifications, subscription-based maintenance programs, engineering support, crew training, route planning, digital crew scheduling, advanced data analytics and software to enhance airlines and leasing company operations. About Boeing Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems. National Geographic and United Technologies Launch “Urban Expeditions,” a Multimedia Series Exploring Sustainability in Global Cities Sept. 14, 2016 Urban Expeditions will identify cutting-edge research and exploration projects that are leading the way in sustainable urbanization in three key areas:   

Food Buildings Transportation

From architecture to engineering and urban agriculture, the project will shine the light on key sustainability issues and introduce us to change agents from a variety of disciplines doing great work around the globe. “This historic migration of people to cities can be achieved sustainably if we think differently about buildings, food and transportation networks,” said John Mandyck, Chief Sustainability Officer, United Technologies. “Urban Expeditions will showcase the global opportunities for cities to advance more sustainably.” Compelling analysis of these challenges and possible solutions will be featured in a new National Geographic digital storytelling series that takes a deep dive into six global cities, beginning with Austin, Texas, in October 2016. Additionally, the initiative will convene four global stakeholder events, each featuring a crossdisciplinary group of experts and stakeholders, exploring the future of cities and global sustainable urbanization solutions. “National Geographic has a long history of investing in bold people working to better understand the world around us and to develop solutions to our most pressing challenges,” said Brooke Runnette, Chief Program and Impact Officer, National Geographic Society. “The issues around rapid urbanization are only getting more complex, and the Urban Expeditions project allows us to continue to support and explore projects that will be instrumental to solving them.” National Geographic has devoted considerable coverage to the impact of population growth. In 2011, a series called Seven Billion served as an inventory of our times across issues such as demographics, food security, climate change, fertility trends and biodiversity as the world’s population reached seven billion. In 2014, a collection of articles, Feeding Nine Billion, examined how we can provide food for all as the global population expands and climate change impacts agriculture. Urban Expeditions is the next installment. To learn more about UTC and its sustainability initiatives, visit www.utc.com or follow @UTC and @JohnMandyck on Twitter.
