We are a cultural institution run by Sopot local government. Our goal is to conduct activities aimed at creating and disseminating culture, promoting cultural education and supporting creative communities. We are involved in building the network of domestic and foreign stakeholders, organising various art residencies and creative programs, as well as documenting and analysing the cultural life around us in general. Both the history of the place and the environment in which we operate are ingrained in our DNA. Sopot is the ultimate place to support the artists and integrate them into the local community and to disseminate fresh, new ideas into the world. The target audience of our efforts is the artist-resident-tourist triad. As of 2021, our headquarters are located in the historic Jüncke’s Villa at Goyki street no. 3. The renovation of the building has brought back its original interior and architecture. When furnishing the villa, we were particularly concerned with how to make it easy to move the furniture around as well as to adapt the area to meet the different needs of its users. We have a few small rooms which are great for holding some informal meetings, as well as our outdoor stage (Plenerownia) located in the park, which can accommodate up to 200 people. The attendees of our events have always appreciated the informal character of the place, the contact with nature, the freedom from the hustle and bustle of the main street in spite of the close proximity to the city centre.
