Today the RHS HOME Collection is the first living collection dedicated to this world of Italian creativity. The collection designed by Odilia Prisco lets the elegance, the care for details and a tradition of which Riva Historical Society is the standard-bearer, to take new forms, from the nautical world to the heart of homes.
La collezione riprende la leggerezza e la sinuosità delle linee dei motoscafi e le sottolinea con la nobiltà dei materiali. Il marmo di Carrara e l'acciaio sono addolciti dal legno e dall'ottone spazzolato 24k e le finiture riprendono motivi provenienti dalla nautica: l'interno dei cassetti è realizzato in pagliolato come le coperte delle imbarcazioni e come nelle barche ogni superficie nasconde uno scomparto. La pelle turchese riveste le forme morbide ed essenziali scelte dalla Designer. La scelta dei materiali è stata fatta sia nel rispetto della tradizione artigianale, sia in un'ottica di attenzione alle materie prime naturali ed ecosostenibili, come nel caso delle imbottiture interamente realizzate in gomma vegetale.
The collection embodies the light and undulating lines of motorboats and emphasizes them with noble materials. Carrara marble and steel are softened by wood and golden copper whereas the finishes use nautical patterns: the interiors of the drawers are made with wooden planks as for ship decks and as in boats every surface has a hidden compartment. Turquoise leather coats the soft and refined shapes chosen by the Designer. The choice of the materials was made with respect for the craft tradition and with care for natural and sustainable raw materials, such as the paddings in natural rubber.

aving been retained under single family California ownership for nearly 45 years, the car is representative of original construction,
an original interior, and retains the factory matching numbers engine. According to the Lamborghini Miura register, chassis #4356 is the 437th Miura built, and one of just 150 SV of the Miura Series.
The interior remains original, showing several surfaces that appear quite good and serviceable including the door panels and a remarkably preserved dashboard. Particular attention will need to be applied to the seating surfaces, which can serve as patterns for restoration, but the center seat cushions will need to be remade. The headrests appear to be original and in good condition, indicating that the car may have been fitted with black leather and ecru fabric inserts, remnants of which can be seen in the center of the driver’s seat.

he carpet appears to be original, but here too, much of it remains intact and complete enough to use for patterns in restoration along with the original knobby rubber floor mats, which will need to be replaced.

he dashboard, instruments, and steering wheel are all original equipment displaying patina to the threaded stitching along the dashboard edge. The padded steering wheel rim will also need to be restored.

oor panels, headliner, and other minor interior trim all are complete and can serve as patterns for accurate restoration or thoughtfully repaired and reconditioned to boast of the original materials and long-term ownership.

he “Magic Ring“ exhibition of artefacts and documents from Dr Alain Frère’s private collection will captivate young and
old alike! Follow the history of the circus from its genesis in the 18th century through to the present day and take a trip out West in the company of Buffalo Bill, historic figure and precursor of Europe’s travelling Wild West shows. Inside the architectural gem that is Nice’s Musée Masséna, costumes, documents, objects and accessories pertaining to the circus ring recount the lives and livelihoods of clowns, trapeze artists, tightrope walkers, animal trainers, jugglers and trick riders to visitors. Additionally they can watch a fascinating 35min film, made specially for the exhibition, showing the top acts that have won the Clown d’Or award. A unique experience accompanied from 16 to 26 January by the 44th Monte-Carlo International Circus.

I
t was built in 1898 et 1901 by architector Hans-GeorgeTersling (1857-1920). Inside the most beautifull villa on the Promenade des Anglais, right next to the iconic Hotel Negresco, you’ll find the elegant Musee Massèna. The first floor is decorated with artwork, antique furnishings and personal effects from the Massena family that built this home, and whose family history was deeply entwined with Napoleon and the history of Nice. The second floor is consecrated on thematic elements of the history of Nice from the 19th century through just before XXII, including military memorabilia and uniforms. A particularly interesting display has personal memorabilia from Napoleon and Josephine including a cape and tiara that she once wore. The third floor displays in this period one exibition that isn’t permanent, and it changes every period. From the 9th November to 8th February will be the “Magic Ring” exhibition.
