Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that our campuses are located on Treaty 8 territory, the ancestral and present-day home to many diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people. We are grateful to work, live, and learn on the traditional territory of Duncan’s First Nation, Horse Lake First Nation, and Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, who are the original caretakers of this land.
We acknowledge the history of this land and we are thankful for the opportunity to walk together in friendship, where we will encourage and promote positive change for present and future generations.

SEVEN SACRED TEACHINGS
LOVE must be unconditional; to know love is to know peace To feel true love is to know the Creator . Love given to the Creator is expressed through love of oneself, and it is understood that if one cannot love oneself, it is impossible to love anyone else .
To honour all of the Creation is to have RESPECT. Respect is the condition of being honoured
COURAGE is to face the foe with integrity . Courage is the ability to face danger, fear, or changes with confidence and bravery
HONESTY also means “righteousness”, be honest first with yourself – in word and action . Honesty is speaking and acting truthfully, and thereby remaining morally upright
To cherish knowledge is to know WISDOM Wisdom is the ability to make decisions based on personal knowledge and experience
HUMILITY is to know yourself as a sacred part of the Creation . Humility is being humble and not arrogant
TRUTH is to know and understand all the seven teachings have given to us by the creator and to remain faithful to them
