GPS Cross Country Championships

Course Map

The GPS Cross Country Championships has been an important feature of the GPS sporting calendar for half a century. Dedicated competitors from all nine GPS member schools will challenge themselves and pursue their personal bests in what promises to be an exciting day of competition.

The GPS Association congratulates all competitors for their dedication in preparing for the event and wishes them well for today's competition.

GPS Cross Country Championships Program

The GPS Cross Country Championships will comprise the following sequence of events:

GPS Cross Country Championships Scoring

1.1. Places shall be awarded to competitors in their order of nishing according to the electronic printout, where such timing apparatus is in operation. When such timing apparatus is not in operation, a competent officer will be appointed to check the correct allocation of places and points

1.2. Only the rst six (6) competitors from each school will contribute to that school’s points for the event.

1.3. The placings of each of the rst six (6) placegetters

(after adjustment) are then totalled for each school

1.4. Placings will not be awarded to any competitors failing to complete the course or who are disqualied

1.5. The school having the lowest aggregate shall be declared the winner; the school with the next highest aggregate will be declared second, and so on.

1.6. The place points awarded for Cross Country events per school shall be 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
