Typography


Logo Usage To protect the clarity and visual integrity of the logo, the logo has an exclusion zone. It should appear legibly on a clear white, light, or blue background. The preferred way to use the logo is over a white or light neutral background. If the logo must be placed on a dark background or color options are limited, the lightened version of the logo can acceptably be used. The colors and layout of the logo must not be changed from the provided iterations. Please observe the clear space around the logo to maximize visual effectiveness. Nothing should intrude into this specified clear space (1/8th, or 12.5%, or more of the total logo width and height should be maintained around the mark).

Service Line Variations Due to the unique nature of PHC’s services, we have developed four unique variations of the PHC mark to represent the four distinct services provided. Typography (print) In order to reflect PHC’s mission and identity, we are using a clean, modern, and hyper-legible typeface called Poppins. Poppins has both soft and angular elements, making it a perfect match for PHC. Headings 14pt, SemiBold • Paragraph 10.5pt, Light (14pt leading)

Typography (web) Typography standards should be used meticulously for a cohesive and thorough brand presence. Poppins, our primary typeface, can be downloaded for free at https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Poppins. The PHC typography standards for web and digital are as follows.

By using relevant ratios to create modular scales and basing the measurements in our compositions on values from those scales, we can achieve a visual harmony not found in layouts that use arbitrary, conventional, or easily divisible numbers. We use a consistent modular type scale in all Partnership Health Center materials. This visually optimizes our type scaling, with a base (body copy) type size set to 16px for web.
