Amanda, What can I say about our time working together at Wells Fargo? There is too much! We have had some fun, stressful and crazy times. I wouldn’t change any of it. You got me my very first job as a teller when I was fresh out of high school. You did my teller training in Tulare and even picked me up and drove me since I didn’t have my license yet. You’ve always believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself and for that I will always be so grateful! I appreciate your support and guidance throughout the years to help prepare me for my future role in the company. I still don’t feel ready to let you go, but I know that it will all work out. We have shared many laughs! Some memories I won’t share since other people will probably be reading this too. ☺ My favorites are, Abel picking all of us up in the limo and driving us to team rally’s in Tulare. Other branches were so envious of us. We were always so happy to have such a fun manager that cared enough and appreciated us to do that. When we went to that restaurant in Kingsburg and you had Steven drive us in the limo. It was so much fun! You made sure that we had drinks and music and everyone loved it. Remember when Richard ordered his frog legs? The time we had a little get together at Michelle’s house. We were having drinks in the garage and you put on the sombrero hat! Haha! Then we went to your house, Jessica took her drink inside, and was walking around on your white carpet. We were so scared she was going to spill it! I think my most favorite memories with you will be just the times that we spent at your desk chatting. I will miss those moments the most. You have always been so gracious and welcoming of others. Other people may remember you for your amazing sense of style and numerous hairstyles throughout the years however, I will always remember you for your amazing heart. You care so much about others and you were always the first to stand up and help someone in need. You have always put others before yourself and I know that retiring will not change that because that is just the person you are. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to all of us at the Hanford branch. I know that throughout the years you have sacrificed time with your family to be at work. I hope that in your retirement you will take time for yourself and finally relax. I will miss you greatly, but I could not be happier for you. You leave behind quite a legacy. I hope that we will be able to carry it on for you and make you proud. I feel very privileged to have been able to work alongside of you and learn so much, even more so is that I am able to call you my friend. May God continue to bless you for years to come! Happy retirement!

Love your friend, Joanne

Dear Amanda, Personally, your retirement has come too fast! I wish that I had started working with you sooner and that you still had a long way until you’re retirement, so I can keep learning from you, but that just can’t happen. On the other hand, I thank God for giving me the opportunity to have worked with you because it has been a pleasure working with you these past four years and a half. I have grown so much in my professional career and I want to thank you for it, thank you for encouraging me to always do my best, thank you for caring about my personal and professional life, thank you for creating a safe environment, thank you for making each day enjoyable, and thank you for trusting me not just for work things, but also for personal things, that means a lot to me. You have been a phenomenal mentor and I am motivated by the terrific career you’ve have and I can’t stop thanking you for being a great manager and a great human being. How can I forget my first day of work at the Hanford branch, I was nervous, but you made me feel welcomed and you made my first day stress-free. How about that day you asked me to open the branch with you, that day I felt so honored. What about that day that Abel arrived at the branch in a limo to pick us up and take us to the rally in Tulare (I felt so cool) it was my first rally and my first time seeing Abel, so I thought that Abel was your brother, it was not until the next day at work that I found out that Abel was your husband. I wish you a happy retirement and I hope that during your retirement you take the time to do all the things that matter to you the most. May God continue to bless your life with health and reward you for your many years of hard work. Please keep in touch! Sincerely, Alan Cruz

I started working for Wells Fargo when I was in college. I fell in love with Amanda as soon as I started! She was confident, beautiful, fashionable, classy and elegant! I strived to be like her! I learned so much from Amanda, she was always so kind and helpful and all of her employees and customers loved her. I loved chatting with her, and loved being her friend. Some of my favorite memories were when she would get deliveries from her personal shoppers, and we would get to help her open her box and see all the fabulous designer suits and shoes she would choose from! She definitely was the best dressed person at Wells Fargo! I not only learned how to be a business woman from Amanda, but also have to be classy and stylish, and stand out in the workplace. After all these years, I am so glad that I have kept in touch with Amanda and I always love going in the bank in seeing her smiling face and getting a big hug! Me and all of my family will miss her dearly! Congratulations on your retirement! Enjoy life and your family! You deserve it! Love, Mandy Nelson

Dear Amanda, Thank you for everything you’ve done for me these past couple of years. You’ve given me several opportunities to help me grow with and Wells Fargo and I will always be grateful for that. You’ve taught me so much in the time that I’ve been working here which has helped me become The banker I am today. I’m truly going to miss opening with you and having your support in the branch, but now it’s time for you to relax and enjoy your retirement! I hope you enjoy every minute of it. Xoxo, Ashley Amanda, Time has flown by and you’re onto a greater chapter in your life. I’m so happy for you. You were such a great boss to be. I can honestly say you’re the best boss I have ever had a pleasure working with. I know I haven’t been around since I left but I truly miss you. Hope to see you around. Maritza

Amanda I have too many words to describe the impact you have had both on my life and career. It all started in June 2010 when I went to Hanford to help with the business customers. You set me down and told me that even if I am helping business customers don’t let that take me away from my bigger goals. I was new there and you cared enough to look out for me. From there you help guide me, taught me, and show me the potential I have that led me into my service manager role. You saw what I could do even before I knew I could do it and I don’t think I would be where I am today without you believing in my abilities. You care for everyone the same and have the biggest heart I have ever seen in a manager. You look out for your friends and your team and are not afraid to speak up. You have many qualities I strive for. I have enjoyed the time I shared working next to you. Fun conversations, a wild night of house sitting while technology changed out equipment and much more. You’ll always be my friend and will now have time to enjoy your life even more. Thank you for being you. Your friend, Richard Hughes

For I know the plans I have for you.

Today is the beginning of the rest of your life and I know that just as you worked hard in your job, you will work even harder to enjoy your retirement. Wishing you the best retirement years of your life! How to work so hard and be always dedicated to my work with positive attitude and still be able to have fun are some of the very few precious things that I have learned from you. Thank you for guiding me at every point of my life whether it be work, personal or anything. You were always just a phone call or a text message away and you know I always counted on you. As your friend I want to say that you are a great person and an achiever, and that is what has brought you this far. You were always a great boss, but you were an even better friend through out the years. You played many different roles in my life, cracked jokes with me as a friend, listened to my sad stories and guided me in my life like a mother, at times you were my boss. You were that one person I used to drive to Hanford for. Every once in a while, you meet a person that you instantly click with. You're definitely one of those people for me. Your decision-making skills are an asset that have always inspired me to be like you. I appreciate all your words of encouragement and everything I have learned from you. When I sit and think, I would have no one come and ask me to go upstairs to lunch together, no one to say “I am very disappointed at you”. I have been working on this for the past 3 days and every time I write something, then I stop because it’s hard for me to believe that its almost that time when I won’t see you here at the bank anymore all day long. Working in this branch will be really boring without you. Believe it or not, you will be missed every hour of every day. Having the privilege of working with you has been the highlight of my time here. It didn't take long for me to see you as my friend, rather than just my boss. I'm so lucky and blessed to have worked with you, and I'll miss you. You've been so dependable, supportive, encouraging. I’ll always miss you and think of you. Thank you tons for the good times and sweet memories that we shared together. This is one of the hardest goodbyes I had or would ever say to anyone in my life. It’s hard and I still feel someone is going to come and say, you extended your retirement. I just wish! But at the end, I wish you all the best and I want you to know that I am always there for you. Love, Aman

BOSS!! I’m soooo going to miss you! I want to thank you for all the support you have given me on my personal and professional life. Thank you for all the advice you gave me especially for when I was going through the whole divorce thing. I really had no one to vent to and you were there for me you heard it at all from me and you always gave me the best advice like I was your own daughter. Thank you for letting me cry it out and or for sharing the best moments of my life with you. There’s a day I will never forget which is when we all went to your house and had drinks remember? LOL! OMG that was too much fun remember how I went inside your house with my drink and your carpet, bed sheets, everything was white! I remember Michelle panicking because I took my drink in there but you seen me and guided us straight outside to your patio. LOL good times. Boss, I really hope we can still stay in touch and hang out. I’m going to really miss you but it makes me happy that you’ll finally be spending more time with poppa and get to travel a lot more. You deserve nothing but the best! I sure will miss doing our coffee runs, gummy candy or picking up clothes from the dry cleaners for you LOL. Thank you for everything BOSS! Amanda, Where do I even start?!? You helped me more than you know and I don’t have enough words to thank you properly. Working for Wells Fargo and having you as my manager was the best thing that could have happened to me while I was finishing my degree. Your constant patience and understanding of my schedule changes every semester for four years allowed me to gain my degree and still have a job that let me help take care of my family. For that, I am so grateful! You were always so kind and willing to help with anything. You genuinely cared about what was going on in our personal lives and always offered to help. All your help (and Abel’s) for my wedding is just one example. You paid for my beautiful shoes and even had a bottle of my favorite wine waiting for Dave and me in the limo for us to enjoy on the way to the hotel. I don’t tell many people this but that limo ride, sipping on wine, finally relaxing and enjoying my new husband’s company alone, was my favorite part of our wedding day and you and Abel helped make that happen. I really cannot thank you enough! I’ve always seen you as such a strong woman figure for our community, especially our Portuguese one. You always carry yourself with poise and elegance and I will miss seeing you during my trips into the bank, many people from our community will. Your kindness extended past your employees and coworkers and into the hearts of each costumer you dealt with. My only solace in this is that I know I still get to see you and talk to you at all the Portuguese events in town. You deserve this retirement and this time to yourself now. You have not only done your due diligence for Wells Fargo but exceeded them tremendously. Congratulations on this well-deserved moment in time! With much love, Vivian Santos

Mom….. I miss working with you every day! You honestly were the best work mom I have ever had. From the many runs you sent me on to get your shoes stretched, getting your steamed vegetables at fugazzi’s, to running out of the bank while Patty wasn’t looking to grab your candy gummy’s and of course a pack for me too! You made work fun, and always made sure to accommodate everyone’s request to never miss out on things with their love ones. I’ll never forget all the countless times you calmed my worked up self from the warden and the time you let me push you around on your stomach on one of those stools we were always fighting over! Thank you for always being a mentor and for the numerous references that always made me sound like a million bucks! Congratulations on retirement! You deserve all the free time to shop! And go on all of your Vegas trips! Love always, Your daughter, Chelsea

Amanda, I still remember the first day when you called me to give me some awesome news about me working in Hanford. When I first saw you, I thought you were the Branch manager but then you told me she was on PTO lol… from that day on you have been the person I go to and ask questions because your always there to help me. If It wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have been able to pass the audit because your always making sure we are up to date with everything. Amanda, I don’t know how we are going to do it without you. I know you worked a lot and now you need to travel and enjoy every day but were all going to miss you a lot. Who’s going to work with me on Saturdays now… I hope you come back if you feel lonely to help us with audit we will always be there waiting for you. Enjoy every day and have a lot of fun. We will always miss you Amanda. You know what just stay…. Just kidding you gave Wells Fargo all your life so enjoy! Love, Blanca

Dearest Amanda, First and foremost congratulations on your retirement!!! You had a long and successful career with the bank. I know you will be greatly missed by everyone! You are my second boss I ever had, and one of the best persons’ to work for! I was so young and really had no idea what I wanted to do. John and you were the best managers I had the privilege of working for. I truly believe that you are the number one reason why I enjoy working in the baking profession. There is never a dull moment. I learned a majority of my operation knowledge from you, so thank you for that. There are so many great memories I have with you and our time together at work. Here are a few of those memories, your vast array of fashion and hairstyles along with your hair color. When the UPS guy would come and bring your packages from Saks, Macy’s or even Bloomingdale’s. On the days when I would go to Fresno State, I would take back or pick up stuff from your personal shopper at Macy’s especially your special pantyhose. I always love your keen sense of style at any age! Those amazing high heels or boots you would wear with those outfits. (I always admired how you could walk with ease in heels) All the times John would make fun of you because of what you were wearing or the way you would talk with your accent. All the times you would talk about the girls Steven was dating. The day Steven got engaged to Devin, their wedding day. What a special day that was for you! And who could forget the day when you became a grandma for the first time. Those grandsons are so very lucky to call you Nana! So many great memories, I sure miss the good all days. The most memorable moment has to be by far the LA trip from HELL!! Getting on the bus to go to LA garment district and on our way home the bus breaking down at the end of the grapevine. Adam coming to get us and all 5 (you, Devin, Michelle, my mom and myself) of us piled up in his little car (pack like sardines). What a trip that was it, we still talk about that trip to this day. From the bottom of my heart I want to wish you the very best on your new journey. May God continue to bless you and your family with good health, happiness and love. Enjoy every minute of your retirement, you have earned it! I will always think of you as a friend and a mentor Amanda! Your friend/former employee, Margaret (Garza) Guzman

Dear Amanda, It was a pleasure working for you at Wells Fargo. You taught me a lot, but more importantly you were so much fun to be around. I am so happy for you! We had a lot of fun at that branch being silly and online shopping for clothes. I also miss telling you my crazy stories! I hope you have a wonderful retirement filled with lots of shopping trips to Vegas, and Neiman Marcus! Thank you for everything, and I hope to run into you again one day! Love, Ellisa

Amanda, Although our time working together was brief, words cannot express the gratitude I have for you. From day one, your kindness provided me comfort as a new regional services consultant. You were always available to answer questions or help support without hesitation. Your partnership provided me knowledge and wisdom that is essential for my role. Never skipping a beat, you have ran your business with the utter most professionalism and efficiency I have ever seen. Your work ethic is exemplary; it is no wonder why you have earn the respect of so many within the company and community. As you move ahead into retirement, remember that you left behind a legacy of achievement, encouragement and development that will not be forgotten for years to come. May the many years ahead bring you all joy and relaxation. I truly wish you the very best Amanda and I hope our paths cross once again. Laura

My frienn, Don’t be mad my frienn. Haha, do you remember when I used to say that to you? Amanda we worked together for nine years and we’ve seen and been through many changes together. We’ve had our ups and downs (a lot more ups) I remember you as my trainer when I first started with Wells. You’ve seen me grow into a man and within the company. You taught me a lot and gave me the advice I needed to hear rather than what I wanted to hear. I admire your hard work and dedication to the company, it is very inspiring. Thank you for all the laughs, talks and teachings. I wish you and Abel the very best in all you do! Enjoy your retirement! Love, David

Amanda, I hope you have the best retirement. Thanks for everything at Wells when I lived there. Thanks you for being so supportive during my pregnancy and for my Tiffany’s bracelet that you gave me. I still wear it all the time! Congratulations on your retirement! Emma Knauss

A message to a dear friend, Amanda I have no words to express what all these years of friendship has meant to me. When I look back of all the times that you were my confidant, support and especially my friend to help me through the challenging times I am truly grateful. The last few years have been memorable for me having the opportunity to work alongside you I never took it for granted how fortunate I was. Your hard work and dedication to all of us will never be forgotten. We will remember you always as a friend. Life never stops and retirement is just the beginning of a new phase of your life. Embrace it was joy, family and friends. Love your friend always, Patty

Amanda, Where do I even begin? When I first started at the Hanford branch, I was beyond nervous. Working with new people, the environment, it was scary, but you my friend, made me feel so comfortable, you were so welcoming. I knew I was going to enjoy working with you when the first thing you asked me was what I wanted to do with Wells Fargo in furthering my career with the company. That said a lot about you. You as a manager wanting to see me succeed and get me ready for that next level. You never once gave up on me and I will forever be thankful for that. You were there for me as a manager but also as my friend. I’m glad I was able to work with you for the two years that I was there. We definitely had some great memories, like our Snapchat filters. That always gave us some good laughs. Thank you Amanda for all you have done for me. I am super excited for the next chapter in your life. I will miss seeing you at the bank when I make my deposit. If anyone deserves to finally relax and not have to be working all day that is definitely you! I am sure we will have lunch dates and definitely keep in touch! Love, Cecilia

Dear Amanda, This is from Stephen Cano AKA your son. ☺ I was delighted to hear this was how we were going to say our goodbye at work to you solely because to put into words how amazing of a manager you actually are. The many individual conversations we had will stick with me for life and I appreciate that. I know that this letter is quite a goodbye but I will miss you at work especially messing with you guys and making random jokes. You showed me that hard work and tenacity will always be the best way to be successful in life and although I’ve only been in the branch for a little while you’ve impacted my perspective on so many things. I hope retirement treats you very well. I hope all of the lunches with your girls in Fresno are always awesome and I know you will continue to provide for the community and continue to work hard because I know that’s who you are. Once again Amanda from the bottom of my heart thank you for everything truly and I hope to see you soon. Maybe we can grab lunch with Abel and Steven sometime that way you can meet my girlfriend Daisy. Sincerely, Stephen J Cano

Amanda, Congratulations on your retirement!! I’m so happy and sad to hear that you’re leaving us. I’m truly thankful that I got the opportunity to not only have you as a boss but as a mentor and a friend I could confide in. You have een someone I could look up to for inspiration and motivation in my own continueth grow in this company as well as in my walk with God. Working under your leadership was an amazing experience to have. It allowed me to witness that you’re not only an awesome leader and mentor but a warm kind hearted person. I wish you all the best on all your new adventures. I will be praying that the Lord stays with you throughout everything you do! Lots of Love Cristina Soto Your favorit headache :)

Remember all the good times like being locked inside the vault (screaming Bloody Mary for someone to unlock the door) Early mornings (Abel bringing you a Cup of Joe) Time management is the key Ignoring the drama (even though it was hard when they came to you) Remembering the answers to audit questions (repetition is the key) Encouraging everyone to do their best (even when upper management was breathing down your neck) Managing both sides (time and time again) End of the day balancing (crossing your fingers hoping everyone would balance) Now it’s time to hand over the baton (Joanne will do great) The end of this adventure will come to a close but waiting around the corner a new one awaits I’m not the greatest at writing letters so I hope this will do the trick. Now it’s time to enjoy your retirement and travel anywhere you wish. Spending more time with your two grandsons is always a treat. You have taught many people the ins and outs of the bank, but happiness is what you always wanted for us all. Everything I learned, I took with me and I thank you for it. I hope the next chapter in your book is full of love and laughter.

Sincerely, Angelica Botelho

Dearest Amanda, What can I say?! I am very fortunate to have worked with you during my three little years here at Wells. I’ll never forget the day I met you while interviewing with Patty. When she brought you over to me the first thing I couldn’t help but notice, of course, was your sharp sense of style! I almost wanted to ask for your autograph. LOL! But you were very warm and inviting. And never has anyone I worked with been as concerned, caring, and supportive as YOU! You have touched my life in such an incredible way that no matter where life leads us, I’ll always remember who you are to me. I will miss working with you so much! It’s been such a joy and pleasure that this parting is so bittersweet. But at the same time I pray that our friendship continues to grow and most of all, I pray you continue to be blessed and allow your freedom from your hard every day work to bring you much needed peace and rest. And please take time for yourself and enjoy the results of your hard earned work. You will always be an inspiration! Congratulations and enjoy the real true beginning of the rest of your wonderful life! Love Aways, Kyesha

Amanda, We first that when you started at Crocker national bank, we became good friends. Lots of funny memories, you ran the proof machine. One day I put this rubber toad that wiggled, in the proof machine and you let out a scream like you were being robbed when you opened it up and the supervisor Delores came running. I think everyone in the bank again. Also the time when Juan came in, he fixed our typewriters, and Adding machines at the bank. When your proof machine was broken and he was fixing it and he said it was a certain part. You then said in Portuguese, you know what you can do with that part? Put it in his butt! Well little did we know he understand Portuguese! You have lots of class and style, you never have the same hairdo, or color. One day I came to work and I seen this lady opening our vault door. I go, who the heck is that new person? Well your hair lady left the color in too long and you had white hair! You have seen my kids grow up and I have gone through Steven starting kindergarten. Tears getting his license, more tears getting married to a very special girl and having two wonderful grandsons that I love! Remember the time Eric had a radio station call you on the air live? They called it nuking a person. The guy from the radio station said he was from corporate and customers were complaining that your cleavage was too revealing. You got pissed off, then he said you sounded like an angry postal worker! That was too much! You were my rock when I was going through my divorce, you help me get through it. You were my maid of honor in my second wedding. Then we found a house one door down from each other, I don’t think her husbands were too keen on the idea. Little did we know that you were so busy with your job you didn’t have a life! But look out neighborhood, she’s retiring! Love, Michelle

From proof operator to branch manager and everything in between, Hanford Service Manager Amanda Oliveira has done in all during her nearly four decades aboard the Stagecoach. After a long and successful career, Oliveira has decided to retire at the end of this month. “Amanda is an amazing leader and one of the hardest working managers I have had the privilege to work with,” said North Kern-Tulare District Manager Hector Avila. “Her ability to connect with team members and customers is absolutely stellar! Amanda is irreplaceable as a leader, peer and friend.” He continued, “We wish you the best in your retirement as you have had a remarkable career with Wells Fargo!” Oliveira spent her entire career supporting the bank throughout various capacities in the South Valley. “I love my team, I love what I’ve been able to accomplish, and I love that I’ve always been able to stay close to home,” said Oliveira. “It’s been a rewarding career in which I have been able to support my branches, teams, and customers in being successful.” The Hanford native plans to travel and dedicate time to her community. Congratulations, Amanda, and thank you for your years of service to our company! By Yajaira Garcia-Pereda, Corporate Communications
