Embark
on a new adventure
You will never forget your first experience as a Grace Lancer. The moment your car pulls onto our beautiful lakeside campus for your PreUnion Lake Day, you’ll know you made the right choice. After a day spent playing sand volleyball, tubing behind the Grace boat, and paddle boarding down the canal, you will conclude with a time of worship. As you collectively lift up your voices in praise, you’ll recognize the people around you are not only your future classmates; they are your brothers and sisters in Christ. By the end of the day, you won’t just be excited about your journey ahead. You will be ecstatic.
your surroundings Explore
PreUnion Lake Day is not the only day you will enjoy the recreational opportunities around Winona Lake. When you first arrive at Grace, there will be warm, sunny days where you can spend your afternoons mountain biking on the trails, longboarding through the greenways, or kayaking on the lake. And as weather cools down, there is still plenty to do on campus. Get involved in one of our clubs or studentled organizations! With options as diverse as our student body, you’re sure to find an outlet to use your skills and express your passions.
the faces Remember
As you settle into your first year, your relationships with your peers will deepen. Your growth group leader will encourage you to grab hold of the truth of Scripture, and you will find friends who will pray with you when your heart is heavy. The faces that surround you in chapel, in class, and in the dining commons will encourage you daily to know Christ and to make Him known.

Engage your professors
Over the course of your time at Grace, your professors will become more than faces at the front of the classroom. They will be the faces you see each week at the gym and at the campus Starbucks. They are real people with their own stories of being transformed by grace.
When Dr. Tiberius Rata, Associate Dean of the School of Ministry Studies, isn’t teaching a systematic theology course or filling the pulpit of a local church, he’s challenging students to a game of ping pong. Formerly ranked by the U.S. Table Tennis association, Rata promises his students who beat him a perfect score on the next quiz. In his 16 years at Grace, only four students have been able to claim the bragging rights of beating “The Assassin,” as students affectionately call him.
Every year, Dr. Roger Stichter, Professor of Accounting, gives his advanced accounting students a day off of class to work on a community service project together. But do not be deceived — Stichter can get down to business, and his students’ CPA pass rates prove it. Grace accounting students have the highest pass rates among schools of our size.

With more than 20 years of studying aquatic waterways, Dr. Nate Bosch, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, has established the Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams at Grace College as the premier center for aquatic research. Every semester, Bosch leads more than a dozen Grace students in taking water samples, measuring E. coli, and identifying algae from several of the 100+ lakes and streams in our county. As he leads students in their studies, he reminds them of the One who created it all.
Dr. Cheryl Bremer, Dean of the School of Education, is one of the greatest advocates for children with special needs. She has been recognized twice as “Outstanding Special Education Professor” at Indiana’s Council for Exceptional Children Conference. What really sets her apart is that even as a dean and professor in the School of Education, she makes time to get involved in community service programs like Lunch Buddies, Respite Care, Mentors for Mentors, and Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine prom event.
Exercise Science Program Director Christi Walters is always ready to direct her students toward the grace of the gospel — whether it’s over a “life talk” in her office, integrated into lab coursework in class, or in the middle of an intense workout at the gym. Walters spent her first several years at Grace as an athletic trainer before she saw an opportunity to expand the exercise science program. Now, the program has its own academic center, The Center for Movement and Well-Being, which provides programming, education, and research for our community.

Speaking of being transformed by Grace, you will never forget the lessons you learn on the court, on the field, or in the arena. Your time competing will be so much more than a game — it will be a platform to know Christ and make Him known. You will grow in your discipline, determination, tenacity, and grit. You will learn how to be a good teammate and embrace what it means to be a sacrificial leader. While you are at Grace, you will become a Champion of Character.

Your time at Grace won’t just be about taking the field; it will be about exploring the globe.
When it comes time for you to decide on an immersive crosscultural experience, you might have a hard time choosing. Should you study abroad for a semester in Hungary? Or should you go on a ten-day trip to Morocco?
South Korea Trip 2023
Maybe you’ll choose to spend a week serving with a ministry organization in Uganda. Regardless of where you go, your senses will be engaged, your wanderlust will be satisfied, and you will leave the trip forever changed.
Unleash
your dreams
Through your internships, you’ll form valuable career connections. You won’t just talk about career preparation in class, you will sharpen your skills and gain industry insights through applied learning experiences. Who knows, you might even spend your last semester working for a Fortune 500 company here in the Orthopaedic Capital of the World. Not to mention, your network will grow exponentially from the day you step foot on campus. As a Grace alumnus, you will join a network of nearly 23,000 purpose-filled professionals across the U.S. and the world.
You finished College! You did it!
This moment will be the culmination of many latenight study sessions, countless hours in the lab, the sweet victory of holding a national championship, a deeper, fuller walk with Christ, and a multitude of friends that walked with you through it all. As we send our graduates on to the next season of life, we know that they will continue to know Christ and make Him known.

Not only did you get both degrees in four years, but you also graduated with a leg up on the competition as you applied for your dream job.
