Isolation Chamber Habitat Design

First Year Studio

Project Description The objective of this project was to design an Isolation Chamber Habitat (I.C.H.) that has a max sq. ft. of 300. The I.C.H. needs to be able to support someone for 4-6 months while the isolate for COVID-19. Interviewed a classmate to design a space that fit their needs and wants.

Concept The concept for this project was “Serenity”. Living in isolation can be extremely stressful, so it was important to create and environment that would feel serene and peaceful for the client that would make the 3-6 months isolation bearable.
