I am a person who can not live without design, books and volleyball. I skilled in science but embrace an emotional and literary soul, which motivates me to create a lot with the combination of these two different characteristics. In my school life, I played a role in the volleyball team, participated in workshops and took charge of visual and spatial design for my department. These experiences cultivate me as a responsible and cooperative person to work with. I major in industrial design. Being new to the society, I am curious and enthusiastic about the new environment and challenges. I am craving for a career in product design and innovation field, and will stay hungry for all the novelty.

According to the International Essential Tremor Foundation (IETF), nearly 10 million people in the United States alone are affected by Essential Tremor, which is eight times more common than Pakinson’s.

Essential Tremor : Essential tremor (ET, also referred to as benign tremor or familiar tremor) is the most common movement disorder; its cause is unknown. It typically involves a tremor of the arms, hands or fingers but sometimes involving the head or other body parts during voluntary movements such as eating and writing. Current products :


Trend / Observation Nowadays, a huge amount of careers and majors are getting arm in arm with computers alongside the improvement of technology. Simple tasks like operating a mouse is made almost difficult because of the erratic movements of the cursor on the screen and unintended multiple clicking on the mouse caused by a shaking finger. It comes to an essential subject to solve the problems of using the mouse while trembling.

T

he joystick-like mechanism is integrated into this particular mouse for essential tremor patients. It gives the tolerance of tremor on the clicking part and make no tremor effect on the movement of cursor. An accelerometer sensor is applied to tremble-tolerating part in case of sensing the tremor state, visualizing the motion into a graphic chart--this function helps patients keep tracking their situations and establish a massive database for professional research devoting to products or medication development. It provide the possible way in making everyday technology accessible for end users with disabilities.

The upper part comprised with the flexible mechanism provides a tolerance for hand trembling. The optical sensor embeded in chassis is made for a purpose of avoiding the affect of tremble part on the cursor movement. Arduino pro mini

For prototyping, I utilize Arduino pro mini to simulate the mouse IC to which the accelerometer is integrated.

Mapping into Microsoft Excel : I conduct an experiment of tremor by Excel. It converts the data from accelerometer to a realtime chart, visualizing the tremor state. There are 3 circumstences-- sleeping mode, trembling and stable motion.

This is the working physical interaction design integrating the digital music, natural materials and electronic programming. This installation produces a tailored sound of relating material base on the natural factors.

The human memory is an accumulation of different kinds of

perceptions which embraces visual and acoustic senses. The observation is that people are currently overwhelmed by dramatic amount of visually stimulating and over reliant on it, neglecting auditory senses.

�SONAi】is a public interactive installation attempting to explore the mutual effect between nature, sound and the individual. It senses the materials and produce the sound or music tailored to the specific objects, changing the perception of mother nature and sculpturing a whole new imagination toward the environment.

Human is the medium of triggering the nature and music. Music alternates with different factors with a purpose of endowing a new perception on every material. It creates a new type of soundscape with a combination of environment and music, gifting us a deeper experience to feel the world. During the exhibition, I provided some samples for visitors to try out different effects.

The sensor is applied to the leaf. With an active mechanism, it would raise up to ladle the material given by users, creating a sign of sensing feedback.

Utilize CAD computation to simulate the optical path in the device. Reflection board inside seperates the interior, producing a space for storaging the output photos.

The classic Italian craft which combines the iron body

and the plating line deeply attracted many. I’m attempting to extend the emotion of vespa-lovers to photography. The sharing and playful implications of polaroid meet the branding concept of Vespa. I want to evoke the delightful mood of users and make them record the beautiful memories.

Observation I analysis the user experience from space to products during the using process in order to find out problems and then to solve them. To meet the recent lifestyles of consumers, the efficiency of cleaning and storage are taken into consideration. Therefore, users can enjoy a comfortable and hygienic dieting environment.

Seperate the crumbs-collecting shell from the subject so that users will clean it up easily without ejecting the plug.

During heating, there will be a wood fragrance mixed in the flavour of bread, adding a different perception to the ordinary experience.


T

he things that different from general toasters is the division of the crumbs-collecting shell and mechanism. This design leads to the efficiency of cleaning. It integrates the temperature controller and the switch to a handle, applying a rotation lock that keeps children away from scald.



Lock Switch the handle to lock the mechanism in the shell in order to stay the whole in a safe state.

This is a heating stove that can be used outdoor temporarily.

It applies the principle of convex to gather the heat of the sun so as to make the temperature run high quickly and convert simultaneously a part into electric power which supplies the demand of temperature control.

Trend / Observation The importance of medical care is getting valued alongside the coming of aging society. In the future, it will be possible that medical care expends from hospital to our personal spaces. Therefore, the frequency of going to the hospital will be reduced and will personalize the medical care for improving a whole systems.

The patients will have a effective interaction with the medical units though this system, making the medical care go deeper into the household. The patient will never be alone with a cold medication and devices, but feel warm and cared.

ARE is the integration of medicine printer and health care system for chronic disease patients. It is a medication reminder and automotive medicine dispenser for managing their health. The recorded information will transfer to the doctor to check out and supervise the patients’ daily situation. Patients can inquire the doctor if there are any question or problem. The refillable container also save the package of chronic medication.
