CIVIC CENTE R INTO THE HUE Chicago, IL
As a civic center, we believe our design should focus on peopl e both in their physical and emotional needs. The main programs are sel ected to serve different communities surounding. Therefore, we treated our site as a indoor-outdoor green space in which the programmed “domes are placed; the Education center, the Art center, and a Nature center. We also studied the significance of colors in three categories which are mood, energy, and enga gement. Using the site as a whol e, we create each rooms unique to its purpose and use but at the same time the site works as a unified s ystem and communi ty that are conn ec ted b y the green sp aces under a larger space under the ETFE enclosure.

BOAT HOUSE THE SHIFT Chicago, IL
The aim of the project was to design a boat house in North Chicago, Illinois. The main idea of this project is the view of the water. The linear form of the building was distrupted by the shift which works as the extension of the building. This allow users to have greater view of the surroundings.
The boat house also works as the bridge in between two parks that are separated by the river. The programs includes multipurpose room, gymnasium, cafetaria, small meeting rooms, and viewing decks,
