01

MOBIOUS LOOP

This class is an introduction studio to architecture. The main goal of this studio is to introduce the b asic principl es of space in architecture such as continuity of space, light and sh adow, depth of spatial quality. The abstract idea of space was derived from the concept of interdependence b etween hum an m ade and n atural sp atial quali ty. This idea is explored both in two and three-dimensional constructions through strip colla ges and extrusion of planes.

CIVIC CENTE R INTO THE HUE Chicago, IL

As a civic center, we believe our design should focus on peopl e both in their physical and emotional needs. The main programs are sel ected to serve different communities surounding. Therefore, we treated our site as a indoor-outdoor green space in which the programmed “domes are placed; the Education center, the Art center, and a Nature center. We also studied the significance of colors in three categories which are mood, energy, and enga gement. Using the site as a whol e, we create each rooms unique to its purpose and use but at the same time the site works as a unified s ystem and communi ty that are conn ec ted b y the green sp aces under a larger space under the ETFE enclosure.

This curriculum is the 1938 original course of Mies Van der Rohe focusing on sp atial probl em of a simpl e one story courtyard house in a typical Chica go residential block. The study consist of three parts. First, a series of study of planar surface and volume in which affects the divisons of space. Second, a study of detail construction as an essence of Mies design principl e. Third, creating a colla ge as an essence of ch aracteristics of space, which includes materiality, furniture, and sculpture.

BOAT HOUSE THE SHIFT Chicago, IL

The aim of the project was to design a boat house in North Chicago, Illinois. The main idea of this project is the view of the water. The linear form of the building was distrupted by the shift which works as the extension of the building. This allow users to have greater view of the surroundings.

The boat house also works as the bridge in between two parks that are separated by the river. The programs includes multipurpose room, gymnasium, cafetaria, small meeting rooms, and viewing decks,

AMONG DEVELOPED NATIONS, THE U.S. RANKS 1st IN TEEN PREGNANCY & STDs

1. Sex Education on Interactive Digital Screen: But Stop Shelter displays are highly effective, easy to target local consumers as people usually pass the same location every day. While waiting for a bus, everyone would thank an advertiser for giving a little game to play. The bus shelter displays provide a set of a game about sex-related questions in which individual must answer all the questions correctly to receive the awards. Men will receive condom and women will receive contraceptive pills.

ONLY 1 IN 5 WOMAN KNOW WHICH BIRTH CONTROL METHOD IS MOST EFFECTIVE

2. Sex Education Quiz for Free Wifi: It is easy to find people preoccupied on the phones reading news articles or watching films or videos at a subway or on the bus. To cater to this increasing number of mobile users whose tastes are changing fast, the web-based cultural content is churning out diverse sub-genres from conventional formats of dramas and cartoons to novels. Digital users typically consume online cultural content on average 10 minutes. Mainly on the move, they get addicted to the short segments.Referring to this quick habit of consuming information and cultural resources rather than engaging in a deeper reading, the so-called “snack culture” is becoming representative of such cultural scene. Installing free Wifi device in public transportation and providing free Wifi service to people who guess quiz would be one of the ways to effectively educate people.

INTERVENTIONS A SEXUALLY ACTIVE TEEN WHO DOESN’T USE CONTRACEPTIVES HAS A 90% CHANCE OF BECOMING PREGNANT WITHIN A YEAR.

to deal with Teenage Pregnancy in West Garfield Park

3. Exercise Park for Social Interaction: Studies state regular exercise is one of the best ways to manage stress and can also help reduce the sex

drive. West Garfield Park especially has a lot of unoccupied lots and empty green spaces. The park will provide an open space as a center of the community. The locals will be able to gather, make connections, and participate in recreational or physical activities that are good to boost mental health. Moreover, by installing the digital kiosk, it will also promote the safe sex education. It is a solution for low-income families because they do not need to spend any money on activities.

A life mentoring program that provides support, closer guidance, and even education could be one of the solutions to prevent teenage pregnancy. Through the one-to-one mentorship/ group, a mentorship program targeting on teenagers who have troubled behaviors.
