MAJOR FELLOWSHIPS Any country Fulbright US Student Scholarship www.us.fulbrightonline.org Funds 9-10 months of study in over 150 countries or English teaching assistantships in many countries Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad, Provides 6-12 months of funding for international research in modern language and area studies. Scandinavia American Scandinavian Foundation http://www.amscan.org/ Up to $23,000 fellowships toward study at any university in Scandinavia or up to $5,000 grants for independent study or research. Jack Kent Cook Graduate Arts Award up to $50,000 toward a graduate or professional degree in the visual arts, performing arts or creative writing Josephine de Karman Fellowship Trust for the final year of a PhD or undergraduate program in any discipline. $22,000 for graduate students and $14,000 for undergraduate students Goldwater Scholarship for those planning academic careers in math, science or engineering. Apply as a sophomore or junior. Truman Scholarship,for those planning careers in public service. Apply as a junior.
