WHAT WE DO AT GOMSPACE • Mission systems and solutions • Advanced nanosatellite platforms • Subsystems off the shelf
NANOSATELLITES ENABLING NEW GLOBAL BUSINESS • GomSpace was the first pioneer in the nanosatellite market. • Our nanosatellite performance as demonstrated in orbit is second to none. • We leverage the technology and people to design world class miniaturised radio systems for our nanosatellites. • Radio Technology is GomSpace’s cornerstone knowledge. • We continue to demonstrate flawless flight heritage: - GomSpace has participated in more than 40 satellite missions. - GOMX-1 operating successfully since 2013. • Years of experience allow us to be agendasetting and constantly introduce the market to new cutting-edge technology, services and solutions.
A Glimpse Inside: GomSpace Satell A small camera called a star-tracker helps the satellite determine which direction it is pointing by aligning with the stars in the sky. Small sensors around the spacecraft also detect the position of the sun to help orient the satellite
The NanoPower BPX battery pack provides a massive amount of power for critical operations while the satellite is in eclipse and the power it would normally get from the sun is blocked by the earth
The NanoMind Z7000 and NanoCom TR600 are at the heart of a powerful Software DeďŹ ned Radio which gives GomSpace satellites unmatched RF exibility, including high speed radio communication to the ground and to other satellites
The modular GomSpace system design combined with industry leading software allows customers to integrate payloads without worry
lites A GPS unit built into the satellite allows the spacecraft to have very accurate location knowledge, which is critical for advanced satellite control
A propulsion unit allows the satellite to reposition itself into a dierent orbit, or to avoid other objects in space
Advanced reaction wheels use their spin to point the satellite with pinpoint accuracy. This allows the satellite to track locations on the Earth with incredible precision
GomSpace uses the highest eďŹƒciency solar cells in the industry, giving GomSpace satellites more power from the sun

Roger Walker on GOMX-3 (after completion, 2016), Systems Engineer, European Space Agency, Netherlands
AAU Studentspace has collaborated with GomSpace on the ESA financed project SAT-AIS. The project was successfully completed in 2013 and it clearly demonstrated that cubesat-sized missions are quite suitable for tracking ships. The collaboration between GomSpace, DAM and AAU has been very satisfactory. Jens Frederik Dalsgaard Nielsen, associate professor Aalborg University, Denmark

CUSTOMER CASE ESA
Advanced Communication Technologies GOMX-3 is a 3U nanosatellite contracted by ESA to demonstrate a number of advanced communication technologies together with a robust attitude control system. Communication technologies: • An improved ADS-B receiver upgraded from the GOMX-1 mission. • A flexible software defined radio with an L-band front-end and antenna to demonstrate capture and analysis of spot-beams of geostationary satellites. • A 3MBPS downlink capability in the X-band. The satellite was deployed into space in 2015, declared fully operational and mission successfully completed in 2016. The figure to the left exemplifies ADS-B data from the satellite.
