EQUILIBRIO ACADEMY A culture changing company that supports the inner lifer


Introduction In the many years I have worked with people I have experienced that communication is the most rewarding growth tool there is. In my work in Equilibrio I found out that I can be open or closed to others and myself, I can create trust or break confidence, simply by a slight change in facial expression.

With these insights, which I really thought I understood previously, I came home to myself. It has, in my own mind made me a better person in all contexts.

Communication begins and ends with ourselves. It is my responsibility that my communication is understood and that I understand what another wants to convey to me, and therein lies development.


About the Academy Equilibrio Academy stems from Equilibrio, a small consultancy firm, which for 16 years has specialised in developing trust between people in companies, institutions and schools in Scandinavia. Equilibrio believes that people are the key to change. Equilibrio brings the intimacy, trust and openness in communication in everyday practical framework by developing an attentive culture. About the courses

Benefit for the participants

On all our courses theory will be transferred into practice through conversations, examples, exercises and assignments. Participants learn to use tools that can be used in interaction with people, both professionally and personally. Tuition is based on your own life, and the theory that you learn must be connected back to your own life to be useful.

Primary course’s To Listen

You have probably had the experience where talking is not working. It leaves resentment and hurt feelings, distance and lost confidence. What if there is a way to avoid this, to learn not to take things so personally, and instead see yourself as valuable. This is what the workshop is all about.

Trust is very important in all relationships. Without trust we will be inclined to meet others with suspicion and interpret their proposal negatively. But how do we create trust? Does it have anything to do with words, tone and mood? What about free choice? Is it important for confidence? This workshop gives you insight into what it takes to create trust in all contexts.

To change your inner tension 1 day A workshop that gives you insight into how your thoughts affect your behaviour. What we are thinking, colours our experiences, and affects our actions. Often the result is not what we want to happen. If your inner tension is high, it is hard to control your reactions, they seem to decide for you. The course brings the insights needed to change this.

Secondary Course’s The Attentive Culture

You’ve probably seen that one word takes the next and you end up in discussions that you do not want, or that the conversation ends with an uncomfortable silence. This workshop gives you insight into the difference between the active discourse culture and the attentive discourse culture in your life and what it means for cooperation. You will work with “turning off your own head,” for you cannot simultaneously listen to your own thoughts and to the person who speaks.

Life is filled with meetings, and some are perceived as unstructured, to long or “all out war.” We all handle it differently, but often it can be perceived as meaningless or frustrating. Feeling as a, valued participant, and that it makes sense to participate requires a culture that also includes the participants. Equilibrio has developed such a meeting culture model, and it is this the workshop addresses.

We engage in conversations in many different ways in our lives. Sometimes difficult conversations occur, and often they can proceed more appropriate if someone, ensures that the conversation is held in track. Taking the leadership of a conversation or a meeting can be challenging. Equilibrio has developed a form that uses both practical tools and a clear methodology for such a discourse leadership.

Culture arises when people come together in communities. The culture evolves imperceptibly, or we continue an existing culture, without really realising it, but we experience the consequences of it. It can be bullying, lack of commitment or cooperation etc. This workshop will allow you to stop and consider whether you think the internal culture needs to change, at the same time you receive tools and techniques to change the culture.

Attentive Leadership

As a leader it is important to have clear objectives with leadership, and simultaneously it is important to be aware to create a dialogue with employees in which you are present and attentive. The present and attentive leader manages conflict and misunderstanding in a way that is constructive for all parties. It is important that all parties are heard and seen, this strengthens both the individual and the organisation. At this workshop you will work with, how you can become a present and attentive leader.

Why is it that one person reacts violently to something, that to another seems a trifle? Why is it that when I say one thing, they do something else? One reason may be that we are different types, with different ways of experiencing things. In this workshop you will find an understanding for the fact that there is a difference in how we perceive what’s happening around us. We think and perceive differently, we are not trying to deliberately oppose each other’s wants and needs.

Being able to establish contact and trust requires that we are willing to discard our perceptions of others or the surrounding world. This requires that we understand the importance of presence and of our own systems of thought.

Can an organisation flourish, if you change the form of communication? Will this help create more efficiency and innovation? Whilst everyone are happier and more satisfied? We at Equilibrio believe so.

It’s an amazing experience to be heard without judgment. On the other hand, it is not easy to discover, when we as listeners are in the process of “interpreting with our own opinion.” This requires that we are really present ... and it takes practice.

In this specialisation (based on Com. Fac. training) you expanded your knowledge about communication and how the form of communication in an organisation influences the employees’ sense of security, openness and trust.

At this education, you will learn to manage your own state of being, even under great pressure. You will see how the systems of thought (your own and others) can be influenced to be more appropriate through trust and presence. At the same time, your skills as a coach will be built, using our tools and techniques.

You train with tools that can be used in conflict situations, and an understanding of the employees’ differences in personality, and how these differences can become a development potential, if they are supported with acceptance, openness and understanding.

The Communicative Pedagogy is based on learning, that is, dissemination of information based on the recipients.

Everything in life has its difficulties, but nowhere more than in the family. Partners are impossible, the kids are not listening and no one sees how much you work.

In this specialisation (based on Com Fac training) you expand your knowledge of the importance of trust and presence in your teaching and how important your ability to build trust is if children and adults are to thrive. You will gain an understanding of how different children are and how you can use that knowledge as a key to open the individual child’s abilities. You learn about typology and how this knowledge can be used, not to label, but to support you so that each child can find the inspiration, tranquillity, contemplation, stimulation, challenges and physical exertion, that they need. The physical layout of the learning space is therefore important for learning, we shed light on this also.

We need tools that can be used in everyday life to manage and prevent misunderstandings and that we can use consciously, instead of allowing ourselves to be hurt by other people’s words and actions. In this specialisation (based on Com Fac training) you expanded your understanding of the difference in people’s perception and what it might mean in a family. At the same time putting the insights you learn, in relation to your own family. In relationships with your children, you gain insight into their thinking, and can then, together with the children, create appropriate changes in your shared life.
