Why Facebook? • Highly Social • Highly Viral • People will get to know you…your passions, heart, interests and more. • A growing number of people from our church are joining.

Being a Member of Facebook… • It’s a window into others lives. Gives you the opportunity to get to know them, the good, the bad, and the ugly. • Encourages learning, sharing, and discussion. • It is another door into our church and/or your ministry. • It is one form of “Marketplace Ministry”.

Others Are Using Facebook for… “1. Accountability 2. Encouragement 3. Promoting events 4. Solving problems 5. Connecting with new people.” @leslamb (via twitter)

Others Are Using Facebook for‌ Basically just being available for my Sunday school students, past and present, as well as other teens in community, to encourage and show them love...notifying them of church events. Bible studies, informal get-togethers, and small group prayer requests. Also just little comments of encouragement on their wall or notes of praise for their successes (like say they make a part in school play, or i saw them cheer at a game, etc.). A few earnestly seeking agnostic students have initiated some long deep theological convos in the inbox. Oh and guess what? Sometimes students minister back to me!!! I love them all big time! Others Are Using Facebook for… “I use it often for the ministry of encouragement. Occasionally through the private messaging for counsel and prayer.” Clif Cummings (via Facebook)

Others Are Using Facebook for… “We use it for event listings and RSVPs for college events. Crazy calculations to guess attendance based on ‘maybe attending’.” @kerner (via twitter)
