It is almost Fall! We are now accepting REGISTRATION for fall fitness classes and programs. Consult your Community Focus newsletter or the website for class times and dates. Unfortunately we are not able to offer Cardio‐kickboxing as advertised. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Registration Round‐up Join us September 11th from 6‐8:30pm in the Curling Rink to learn more about great activities and clubs in town. Register or just gather info. Confirmed groups attending are: Grande Cache Curling Club, Otters Swim Club, Minor Hockey, Figureskating Club, The French Academy, Soul Rhythms Dance Centre, F.C.S.S, Minor Ball, Power with Motion, Women’s Hockey, Grande Cache Golf Club, Peace Country Health, AWN, & Rotary Club.

Friday Night is Movie Night Join us Friday’s at 9pm for a movie in the lobby of the Rec. Centre. New and old titles will be played. Film ratings will be enforced so call ahead of see the website for movie details.

Babysitter’s Course September 26 & October 3 from 1‐5:00pm Learn the basic babysitting skills from this Red Cross program. You must be 10 to register. Cost $30

Grande Cache Skateboard Park Grand Opening to take place on Friday, September 19th. Class #1: September 23rd to October 23rd Class #2: November 18th to December 18th Join us for the Grand Opening of the Skateboard Park located behind the Recreation Centre. Classes run every Tuesday & Thursday 10:00am – 12:00pm half hour classes Greetings from the mayor will be followed by a 5:30pm – 7:00pm half hour classes ribbon cutting, park dedication, skateboard Cost for either class is $31.00 competition and demonstrations, as well as a fundraising BBQ for the Phase II plan of the park. Train to be a Lifeguard! Skateboarders of all levels are invited to compete. Bronze Medallion / Bronze Cross Registration begins at 2pm and the event kicks September 23, 25, 30 & Oct 2 (4 classes) off at 3pm. There is no charge to enter the 5:00pm – 9:00pm Cost:$120.00 competition. For more information contact the Prerequisite: 13 years or older for medallion. Rec. SUPPORT GROUP RETURNS

A Support Group has been formed by F.C.S.S. and AADAC for people who are affected by loved ones misuse of drugs and alcohol. The group offers a chance to share and learn about addiction. It returns October 8th and will be held every Wednesday from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Grande Cache F.C.S.S. Office. For more info contact Joan at 780‐827‐2296
