A Meaningful Approach to Food Repurposing and Waste Reduction

Grand Hyatt Manila is dedicated to sustainability and committed to making a difference through the hotel’s daily processes.
In the pursuit of environmental stewardship, Grand Hyatt Manila has implemented a comprehensive sustainability program that reflects its commitment to reducing ecological footprint through the Food Rescue and Donation Program.
In collaboration with Scholars of Sustenance (SOS), the hotel has launched a food rescue and donation program. This initiative collects highquality surplus food from the hotel and
delivers it to vulnerable communities, including orphanages, shelters, and low-income populations. By doing so, there is a prevention to food waste and a provision of vital nourishment to those in need.
Large-scale hotel operations often result in surplus food that would otherwise go to waste. Through this partnership, Grand Hyatt ensures that this excess is safely redistributed, promoting sustainability and social responsibility.
Grand Hyatt invites its valued clients to join this meaningful endeavor by donating any remaining food from their events at Grand Hyatt Manila. Together, this can make a significant impact on the community and promote sustainability.
