Meets 1 time on Fri 4/1 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM FEE: $10 We all know they are out there: people who are hunting other, vulnerable individuals to take advantage of them. How do you safeguard yourself, your money, and those you love? Arm yourself with insider knowledge. We will teach you what is out there, how to easily identify them, why they work, and how to avoid them. We will also give you resources for further education and protective services.

Meets 1 time on Mon 4/4 OR 4/11 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM FEE: $10 This one-day 4 hour course may earn you a 10% discount for 3 years on your auto insurance (contact your insurance agent to be sure). But even if it doesn't, it will make you more aware of your actions as a driver and how to stay safer on the roads. There is a $20 charge for students who are AARP members; $25 for non-members - paid by cash or check to AARP and given directly to the instructor. Be sure to bring your Driver's License to class.
PHYSICS FOR THE NON-PHYSICIST

It's the branch of science concerned with nature and the properties of matter and energy. The subject matter is different from Chemistry and Biology. It includes mechanics, heat, light, and other forms of radiation. Also electricity, magnetism, and the structure of atoms. So if any of these topics interest you, or if you just want to gain a better understanding of Physics, then this is the class for you.

There's Hi Jolly, the Greco-Syrian camel driver, Nellie Cashman, the Miner's Angel, Pearl Hart the petite woman stage robber, Frank Luke, WWI flying ace, Nellie Bush, Admiral of the Arizona Navy, 1964 Republican Party presidential candidate Barry Goldwater, and Sandra Day O'Connor, first woman appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. We'll also learn about the unsung heroes.

Meets 1 time on Tue 4/19 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM FEE: $15 Without Chuck Berry we would not have rock n' roll as we know it - he was the greatest rock writer, one of the greatest guitarists and one of its greatest performers of all time. Elvis was the spark that fueled rock n' roll but Chuck Berry became its heartbeat. We will travel with Chuck from his early days in St. Louis to his extraordinary recordings at Chess Records to his off-stage exploits with the law and finally to his induction into the Rock n' roll Hall of Fame.

We will journey with Page from his early days in London as an in-demand studio session musician through his tenure as a member of The Yardbirds to his international success as the guitarist, founder, songwriter and producer for Led Zeppelin. Rolling Stone has described him as “the pontiff of power riffing” and ranked him #3 of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, behind Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. He was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame on two occasions, once as a member of The Yardbirds (1992) and again as a member of Led Zeppelin (1995). COMING THIS SUMMER...
