Howletts Wild Animal Park This zoo features the biggest herd of African elephants in the United Kingdom. This used to be a private zoo which was opened to the public back in 1975. This 90-acre ancient parkland houses 400 rare and endangered animals, including African elephants, monkeys, gorillas, and tigers. They offer walking tours where visitors can get close to the animals at ÂŁ35. There is also a Treetop Challenge at ÂŁ7/person where visitors can scale trees like monkeys.
