Depth of the water at dam wall: 150 ft.
Dam must remain operational—3 x 36” discharge pipes Traditional Approach:
The traditional solution to this situation is to use a silt barrier curtain which prevents the spreading of turbidity and sediment, while containing items that have fallen into the water body. Problem:
Cost: The installation costs for 1000 feet of floating curtain (100 ft in depth) is very high.
Manpower, Risks, & Logistics: The facility still needs to operate and flow.
