Stormwater catchment intercept run-off before water gets down to the LA River. These pieces of infrastructure can be implemented at the end of each street. The grade of the neighborhood helps bring the water to these end points where the polluted rain water gets cleaned before it enters the river.
The contstructed creek provides an urban ecology for various riparian plants and animals to inhabit the inner part of the neighborhood. The creek collects the people in the neighborhood and takes them down to the river.

THE BART STATION PLAZA NEEDED TO FACE THE COMMUNITY. AS IT STOOD, THE PLAZA FOCUSED INWARD TURNING ITS BACK TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD. BY ACTIVATING THE SPACE WITH TEMPORARY FOOD DISTRIBUTION AND A MORE ENGAGING ADJAENT DEVELOPMENT, THE PLAZA BECAME A MORE ACTIVE AND INVITING PUBLIC FORUM.

COMMUNITY INDUSTRY TRANSIT
The neighborhoods surrounding the SFPUC wastewater facility are home to a racially diverse, low-income community who have historically been made to endure the brunt of San Francisco’s man made environmental maladies. The Bay View has been cut up into many strange parcels due to large infrastructural moves that slice across the grid. These left over spaces are currently unused and neglected. We aim to reclaim these spaces for the betterment of the community.
