LET IT SHINE
ANNUAL GALA 2023
The Let it Shine Annual Gala raised awareness and funds by bringing together Grapevine Faith Christian School families, community partners and generous donors to advance our mission –to develop and graduate authentic Christian leaders. The 2023 event was held on April 1st at the Gaylord Texan Resort.
It was an exciting and inspirational evening with a message from special guest, Tim Tebow, dinner, live auction and more. This annual advancement initiative also included an online silent auction with teacher/student experiences, tickets to sporting events, artwork, jewelry, travel and the ever-popular Rule the School.
Thanks to your partnership and generosity, we are thrilled to announce that Let It Shine raised $850,000 for our school, with more than $350,000 earmarked for the 2023 special appeal, the GFCS Safety and Security Fund.
The fund was established to enable us to meet the ever-changing needs of safety and security in today's world and the team at Faith has already begun work on this front. A new Public Address system is in the works for the Worth Street campus. Safety film has been ordered for all glass doors and ground-level windows. Leaders of our crisis management team continue meeting with members of the Grapevine Police Department and others to strengthen plans and our partnership with the city which significantly benefits the students, staff and visitors at Faith. Plans for perimeter security and additional measures are currently being evaluated. Watch for future reports related to the Safety and Security Fund. In the meantime, thank you for supporting the gala and Grapevine Faith Christian School.
