No-Contact Karate

You are invited to attend a free sample class: INTRODUCTION TO NO-CONTACT KARATE, an easy exercise class leading to healthier living through movement. This class improves balance, coordination, muscle tone, and concentration. Typical classes include warm-up exercises (with and without light weights), and slow versions of basic martial arts techniques (kata forms) drawn from the Wado-Ryu style of Karate. The purpose of Wado-Ryu is to lead people to a sense of peace and harmony of spirit; and is considered the oldest of the all-Japanese styles of karate. Also included in our classes are self-defense strategies presented and practiced without the use of sparing/fighting, hitting, throws or falling.
