Gridania is one of the starting cities in Eorzea. The forest nation of Gridania, located in the wooded region of The Black Shroud, is guided by Seedseers, young oracles who possess the wills of the forest’s elementals. The economy of Gridania is based on agriculture, forestry, carpentry and leatherworking.

Ul’dah one of the starting cities in Eorzea. As a bustling commercial hub located in the desert of Thanalan, Ul’dah is a city state ruled by the Syndicate, a group of six of the most influential and wealthiest members of society. The economy of Ul’dah is based on clothcrafting and mining.

Limsa Lominsa is one of the starting cities in Eorzea. The marine city-state of Limsa Lominsa, located on the southern coast of the island of La Noscea, is a traditional thalassocracy ruled by an admiral. The economy of Limsa Lominsa is based on fishing, blacksmithing, shipbuilding and mostly importantly shipping.

Warrior Armed with a greataxe, projects a savage and intimidating presence on the battlefield. Warrior is one of the tanking jobs of A Realm Reborn. Warriors have all the abilities and traits of Marauders. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of gladiator and pugilist. The most important stat for the warrior is vitality, which increases HP. The level of your warrior is equivalent to that of your Marauder. “On the northernmost edge of Abalathia’s Spine exists a mountain tribe renowned for producing fearsome mercenaries. Wielding greataxes and known as warriors, these men and women learn to harness their inner-beasts and translate that power to unbridled savagery on the battlefield.In former times which saw war waged ceaselessly in Eorzea, the warriors featured prominently on the frontlines of battle. With the arrival of peacetime, however, their art has descended into the shadows of obscurity, where it remains to this day.�

Paladin Equipped with sword, shield and heavy armor, is one of the tanking jobs of ARR. Paladins have all the abilities and traits of Gladiators. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of conjurer and marauder. The most important stat for the paladin is vitality, which increases HP. The level of your paladin is equivalent to that of your gladiator. “For centuries, the elite of the Sultansworn have served as personal bodyguards to the royal family of Ul’dah. Known as paladins, these men and women marry exquisite swordplay with stalwart shieldwork to create a style of combat uncompromising in its defense. Clad in brilliant silver armor, they charge fearlessly into battle, ever ready to lay down their lives for their liege. To be a paladin is to protect, and those who choose to walk this path will become the iron foundation upon which the party’s defense is built.”

Bard Is a job that specializes in buffing their allies with songs and other enchantments. Using bow in combat, Bard improves upon the archer class through the addition of group buffs. Bards have all the abilities and traits of Archers. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of Pugilist and lancer. The most important stat for the bard is dexterity, which increases attack power. The level of your Bard is equivalent to that of your Archer. “The word “bard” ordinarily puts folk in mind of those itinerant minstrels, fair of voice and nimble of finger, who earn their coin performing in taverns and the halls of great lords. Few know, however, that bards in fact trace their origins back to the bowmen of eld, who sang in the heat of battle to fortify the spirits of their companions. In time, their impassioned songs came to hold sway over the hearts of men, inspiring their comrades to great feats and granting peace unto those who lay upon the precipice of death.”

Monk Is a job that specializes in hand-to-hand combat. Monk evolves from the class pugilist. It is a melee damage dealing class specializing in single target dps. Monks have all the abilities and traits of Pugilists. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of lancer and marauder. The most important stat for the monk is strength, which increases attack power. The level of your monk is equivalent to that of your Pugilist. “Though now under Garlean rule, the city-state of Ala Mhigo once boasted the greatest military might of all Eorzea. Among its standing armies were the monks—ascetic warriors as dreaded by foes on the field of battle as the city-state’s great pikemen. The monks comprised an order known as the Fist of Rhalgr, and it was to this god—the Destroyer—that they devoted their lives of worship. By mastering seats of power within the body known as chakra, they are capable of performing extraordinary physical feats.”

Dragoon Is a polearm-wielding job that specializes in lances, leaps, and a piercing style of combat. They evolve from the class lancer. It is a melee damage dealing class specializing in single target dps. Dragoons have all the abilities and traits of Lancers. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of marauder and pugilist. The most important stat for the dragoon is strength, which increases attack power. The level of your Dragoon is equivalent to that of your Lancer. “Of all the things that are symbolic of the nation of Ishgard, few are more recognized than the dragoon. Born amidst the timeless conflict between men and dragons, these lance-wielding knights have developed an aerial style of combat, that they might better pierce the scaled hides of their mortal foes. Taking to the firmament as though it were an extension of the land, they descend upon the enemy with every onze of their bodies behind the blow. It is this penetrative power that characterizes the dragoon.�

White Mage Is one of the three healers that is available with the other two being Scholar and Astrologian. They are an upgrade from the class Conjurer after leveling up arcanist to level 15 and completing the Conjurer story line. Using wands and canes, White Mages are capable of healing, buffing and reviving their allies. White Mages have all the abilities and traits of Conjurers. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of arcanist and thaumaturge. The most important stat for the white mage is mind, which increases healing magic potency. The level of your White Mage is equivalent to that of your Conjurer. “White magic, the arcane art of succor, was conceived eras past that the world might know comfort. Alas, man began perverting its powers for self-gain, and by his wickedness brought about the Sixth Umbral catastrophe. Although the art subsequently became forbidden, it is now in the midst of a revival at the hands of the Padjal, chosen of the elementals.Those who would walk the path of the white mage are healers without peer, possessed of the power to deliver comrades from the direst of afflictions—even the icy grip of death itself.”

Black Mage Is a job that specializes in devastating their enemies through the use of black magic. Black Mage evolves from the class thaumaturge. Using staves and scepters, Black Mages are ranged damage dealers with powerful AoE spells and crowd controls. They have all the abilities and traits of Thaumaturges. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of arcanist and archer. The most important stat for the black mage is intelligence, which increases attack magic potency. “In days long past, there existed an evil clan and arcane art known as black magic—a potent magic of pure destructive force born forth by a sorceress of unparalleled power. Those who learned to wield this instrument of ruin came to be called black mages, out of both fear and respect for their gift. Yet great power served to corrupt the judgment of mortal man, and so he unknowingly set out upon the path of ruin. Adventurers who take the black will become agents of devastation, capable of annihilating those who oppose them through little more than the force of their will.�

Summoner Is a spell casting job that specializes in the summoning of Primal-egis in the forms of Ifrit, Garuda and Titan. The ability, Summon, calls forth the spell casting Garuda-Egi. Summon II brings forth the tanky Titan-Egi. Summon III allows the player to summon Ifrit-Egi, the melee damage dealer. Summoners have all the abilities and traits of Arcanists. Primal-Egis spawned by the summoner are smaller versions of their Eorzea counterparts. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of thaumaturge and archer. The most important stat for the summoner is intelligence, which increases attack magic potency. “The beast tribes of Eorzea worship and summon forth beings known as primals, among which are Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan. Yet what is a god to one man is a demon to another, for the city-states of Eorzea see these beings as a grave threat to their collective survival. In times immemorial, there lived mages who had not only the power to summon the primals, but also the means to transmute the primals’ essences, thus binding them to their will. Known simply as summoners, the existence of these men and women and their arcane art have been all but lost to the ages.�

Ninja Ninja is a melee DPS job released in Patch 2.4 of A Realm Reborn. It evolves from the class Rogue. Ninja, like rogue, dual-wields 2 dagger weapons, applies poisons to their weapons and is able to become invisible with Hide. Ninjas’ unique abilities are their Ninjutsu Actions. They can execute these abilities by using their Mudras (Ninja hand signs) in correct orders and combinations. “Hailing from the war-torn lands of the Far East, the secret arts of the ninja were born of necessity, and have since given rise to a unique breed of highly-trained combatants.Able to manipulate the vital energies of the land, the air, and living beings, they manifest their power through the weaving of signs, unleashing a wide array of attacks against their foes. Master the arts of the ninja and learn to bend the tide of battle to your will.”

Scholar Are healers with fairies as their pets. Scholar is evolved from the class Arcanist, as is Summoner. Wielding books, Scholars have all the abilities and traits of Arcanists. They can also use all the cross-class abilities of Thaumaturge and Conjurer. The most important stat for the scholar is mind, which increases healing magic potency. The level of your Scholar is equivalent to that of your Arcanist. Scholars use books as weapons, and do not equip anything in their off-hand. “In an age long past, when mankind flourished under the radiance of arcane mastery, the island of Vylbrand was home to a city-state called Nym. Though the history of that age tells of countless wars waged with earth-shattering incantations, it was the brilliant strategic maneuvering of Nym’s scholars that allowed their mundane army of mariners to throw back would-be conquerers time and again. These learned men and women defended the freedom of their tiny nation with their unique command over spell-weaving faeries, utilizing the creatures’ magicks to heal the wounded and bolster the strength of their allies.”
