Establishing Family Bonds 1. Meal time
2. Play time
3.Vacation time
4. Celebration time
"The family that eats together... stays together" Eating dinner around the table, not in front of the television or your blackberry is one of the strongest ways to establish a family closeness. Talk to your children and spouse and ask questions about their day in a way that shows interest and concern for their daily activities. This time should be a time of peace, humor and comfort. It is the end of the day and it's important to create an atmosphere that's conducive to good communication.
"The family that plays together... stays together" One of the best and strongest ways for a family to spend time together is to go out and have fun! Go to a movie, play sports or see a Broadway show! This is an amazing way to communicate by sharing with each other a good ole fun time without the stress of chores and schedules. Family fun fosters family togetherness and makes memories that will bolster children's sense of self and confidence throughout their lives.
"The family that travels together... stays together." Traveling to see a distant family member(s) or traveling to relax on a sunny beach or traveling to just educate ones desire to see another part of the world is a family-building adventure. Traveling is a great way to get your family away from stress and daily living to enjoy each other and share new experiences. These travel plans can be a little mini-adventure or a plane ride away. Vacations don't have to be expensive or even long for the family to enjoy time together.
"The family that celebrates together... stays together" Traveling for family milestones and special occasions shows your children that sharing memories with the extended family is important.Visiting with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins for weddings, graduations and birthdays can give children a sense of security and a strong family foundation. Teach your children that they are blessed with a ton of family who loves them unconditionally.

AT WHAT AGE SHOULD MY CHILD SEE AN ORTHODONTIST? The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child first visit an orthodontist by age 7 or earlier if a problem is detected by parents, the family dentist, or the child's physician. Many orthodontic problems are easier to correct if detected at an early age before jaw growth has slowed. Early treatment can prevent future problems and maximize future tooth and jaw development.
AM I TOO OLD FOR BRACES?
Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age. With treatment options that include ceramic braces and crystal clear Invisalign, everyone can have a beautiful and healthy smile. Twenty to twenty five percent of orthodontic patients today are adults.
DOES MY DENTAL INSURANCE PAY FOR ORTHODONTICS?
If you have dental insurance, we will gladly determine the coverage you have under your plan. Orthodontic insurance is usually a separate rider to dental insurance, and not all plans include this coverage. Just give us your policy information and we will be happy to file your claims for you.
