Statement of intent: II focus on creating designs that can be used to help make people's lives easier and more enjoyable. Subjects / Themes Branding & Identity. Product & Packaging. Publishing & Editorial. Information & Wayfinding. Web & Screen (Motion). Design Disciplines / Creative Development I will be working a lot on developing type and layout skills within all the briefs I am undertaking throughout third year. I will also be using motion graphics in a couple of the briefs, this is a new skill I will need to learn and develop. I am wanting to improve my presentation skills, learning how to structure an aural presentation as well as design boards will really help me when putting together a portfolio and presenting ideas in all areas of life, not just design related presentations.


Practical Skills / Workshops – what, why and when? After Effects I need to learn how to use After Effects for my CoP 3 practical, George Carlin DVD menus and to work on promotional tools for my typeface design and release. I need an induction into this software during October. Book-binding Will be using this from various briefs throughout third year. This may leave me spending a fair chunk of my time at Vernon Street. Screen Print Quite a few of my briefs will involve screen printing. Again, this will push me towards the Vernon Street building quite often throughout the year.
