ROYAL COURT THEATRE
THE BRIEF Communicate the development work the theatre does to their current audience. It is important that the outcome sits within the current architecture as the theatre building is a listed building. The solution should not distract the audience from the plays being staged. AIMS Communicate the development work the theatre does for young writers and practitioners, to their existing audience. OBJECTIVES Design that the theatre goer can interact with. Must be able to be produced on a limited budget. KEYWORDS Engaging, interactive, communicate, low budget. CONCEPT Design a set of drinks coasters that show the development work the theatre does for young and emerging writers and practitioners. The drink coasters will be placed in the theatre’s bar so the audience will be able to see the information when attending the theatre. Drink coasters could be a method the theatre use to promote plays that are being in the future at the theatre. CONTENT The content for the seven drink coasters. The logo will be on the front of each of the seven drinks coasters. This will give the theatre the opportunity to use drink coasters to announce future events with the theatre bar. This is a low cost and more engaging alternative to promotional flyers.
This is not the final design for the coaster. Shows current progress witht he symbol I am using to show the theatre works in 70 countries. The final design will not be black and white.
