The Logo & Colours What I wanted to achieve with the logo is a connection between the college and their alumni, as they turn corners through their career. The ‘brand’ will use a limited colour palette of green, black and white. I chose this green as it is the most ‘visible’ colour on the colour spectrum, I connected this with our college alumni making a big impact in their respective industry.

Typeface I have designed a custom typeface to fit the type in the logo. I have called it Alumni. The typeface is intented to be used for headers, however, this is not a rule and can be replaced with more appropriate type if and when the designer feels it will best communicate a message.
Grid This identity proposal does not include a pre-defined newsletter layout, complete with typeface instructions and such things. This is directly connected to the audience of the newsletters. Bland newsletters, that look the same, month in month out quickly become unwanted fodder in the email system, ending in them being deleted. I have however provided a set logo placement, tight to the upper left corner of every page/screen it is set to appear on. Giving the designer an opportunity to experiment with ideas and typography in each piece of communication.
