Don’t have time to be on a traditional troop? Here is the solution… become a Juliette! Girls can join Girl Scouts as Juliettes (individually-registered girls, not in troops) and can participate in different types of activities. These activities provide alternate membership options (pathways) outside of a troop. Pathways include events, camp, and/or a series. For example, a girl can participate in an event pathway simply by registering for program activities in this publication.

Registering for Activities Girls can join in a variety of activities simply by registering for them. Girls create their own unique Girl Scout experience their way. “Girl Only” is listed when girls can attend an event without an adult accompanying them (adult supervision is provided).

Program and Mini-Camp Cancellation and Refund Policy Register Online Registration is available online at www.gsutah.org • To register a girl for a program you will need to: oC reate a User Name and Password for yourself (her guardian). You will have access to your family roster with all family members. For assistance with creating a user name and password please contact the council during business hours. This will help prevent any issues with losing links to family members and profiles. oL ogin as the adult guardian; the council has listed as Guardian 1 for the girl. oS elect the program and register the girl by selecting the box next to her name. oC omplete the registration information and process the order. oR eview payment due, and registration prior to entering card information. Option is available to print a receipt with verification order number. You must complete order and all information required to process correctly. Items in a cart not processed will not hold space for processing later. • Programs are on a first-come, first-served basis. You may sign your girl up for more than one program if you wish! Activity Scholarships • If applying for an Activity Scholarship, fill out the application from www.gsutah.org. Mail form to: Girl Scouts of Utah, Activity Scholarship, 445 East 4500 South, Suite 125, Salt Lake City, UT 84107 or email form to: ccahoon@ gsutah.org.

Other Registration Information • We have computers available during business hours at each service center for your use if you don’t have access to internet at home or at your local library. • If you are a registered Girl Scout in another council outside of Utah, please contact Cheryle Hatch, Program and Camp Registrar at registrations@gsutah.org or (801) 265-8472. Confirmation Information You will receive an email notice that your Girl Scout has been registered for the program. Once the registration deadline for a program occurs and the needed number of registrants is met, you will receive a confirmation email which will include a link to the following forms. These forms can also be found at www.gsutah.org. • Program Release Form (required to bring to all programs) • Overnights/Mini-Camps have these additional documents: Medication Form, Packing List Refunds • No refunds are given: o Once the registration deadline passes and the confirmation email is sent. o If a girl returns home during a program because of homesickness, misconduct, parent/guardian request, and/or any other circumstance. • If a girl cannot attend a program or mini-camp, she can transfer her registration to another girl.

Cancellations The program fee will be refunded if: • GSU receives a written notification of the cancelation at least five weeks prior to the mini-camp or program. • The Girl Scout cannot attend her program because she becomes ill or injured and GSU receives a request for the refund in writing with a physician’s note within one week after the scheduled program. • GSU cancels the program and alternative programs were offered but you do not select one of the alternative programs. Disclaimer Girl Scouts of Utah plans quality programs with the health, safety, and well-being of the girls as our first priority. Some programs may be altered or cancelled due to weather, fire, natural disaster, lack of staff, or lack of registrations. No alternation or refunds will be issued if changes are made to activities due to weather, fire, or natural disaster. If a program is canceled due to low registration numbers, girls will be afforded the opportunity to select another program.
