Symbols for use in Fireworks ™ Introduction Thanks for the purchase of the symbols set, I hope you find them of interest and use. Any questions, please let me know Andrew

Installation Of symbols Please extract the files from the zip file (use the extract command) or expand using stuffit expander on the mac. Please place the symbol files (PNG file type) in CS3: c:\program files\adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS3\Configuration\Libraries or mac equivalent C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Fireworks 4\Configuration\Libraries or MX or 8 or CS3 libraries location or the mac equivalent.

Please consult your documentation for further details of any install.

After placing the symbols in the symbols folder or equivalent, please startup Fireworks ™ Display the libraries palette and use the import command to load symbols.

Please select which symbols you require and select the import option.

Import symbols Once imported, you will notice the kind column will indicate Graphic (imported). All the symbols are of the kind 'graphic'). If you wish to convert the graphic to a button or animation, please use the 'convert' command and select button or animation and follow the required steps to create an animation etc or image swap etc behavior for a button.

Modify symbols You can now drag the symbol from the symbols palette to the document and modify as required. To manipulate the symbols you might need to use the symbol command 'break apart' and then color/fill/tweak points, otherwise just use the effects palette for fill / bevel

It is not recommended that you load symbols unless required. The more symbols loaded, the more resources used.

Serial number Please store the serial number for future reference, updates, and replacement disks. This is not the order number though it is recommended that you save that as well.
