‘DIVERSION: RECYCLED TEXTILES TO ART’
Scottsdale Public Art draws attention to the worldwide environmental crisis caused by textile waste with its new exhibition, “Diversion: Recycled Textiles to Art,” which showcases pieces from Arizona-based artists who have created artworks from old, self-sourced clothing and castoff textiles as their major components. SUBSTANCE OF STARS: MEDITATIONS AND EXPLORATIONS
Heard Museum hosts a pop-up exhibition in partnership with Amangiri — one of the world's finest resorts resting on 900 pristine acres on the border of Utah and Arizona. The exhibition showcases the work of acclaimed artist and filmmaker Steven J. Yazzie (Diné), who grew up not far from the resort in Page. Yazzie draws upon the themes of earth and sky to explore his ancestral landscapes through visually stunning, stimulating and calming videos and photographs.
