County Wicklow lies between Dublin and Wexford in the south-east of the country. It is bounded on the inland western side by counties Kildare and Carlow and by a long, low, sandy coastline to the east. There are a couple of headlands, most notably at the northern end, where Bray Head overlooks the popular resort. More than just a hotel, leisure and golf resort, Tulfarris is one of the most picturesque hotels in Wicklow, the epitome of delicious food, relaxed bars and deluxe guest bedrooms with spectacular views across Blessington Lakes and the Wicklow Mountains. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 A morning departure. We travel to Holyhead for our ferry crossing to Dublin. On arrival we make our way to the Tulfarris Hotel with time to settle in prior to dinner. DAY 2 A full day excursion to Dublin. DAY 3 Today we visit the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens (Entrance included). DAY 4 Today we make our way out through the spectacular scenery of the Wicklow Mountains with their stunning views. We travel via Glendalough, undoubtedly the highlight, as the beautifully forested valley comprises of two dark and mysterious lakes. Nearby is the pretty village of Avoca, the setting of the TV series ‘Ballykissangel’. DAY 5 This morning we say farewell to our hotel and make our journey home.

DAY 2 After breakfast, today’s excursion takes you to Loch Katrine for a 2 hour cruise along the full length of the loch aboard the SS Sir Walter Scott. After disembarking, enjoy a delicious lunch in the Brenachoile Restaurant on the loch-side. DAY 3 After breakfast, we head to the steam driven Falkirk Wheel the world’s first and only rotating boat lift. This afternoon, we take a ride on the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway by steam train where we have chartered your very own dining car in which you can relax in style and enjoy a delightful afternoon tea. DAY 4 Today, following breakfast, you have some time to explore Loch Ness as well as the Lomond Shores retail centre followed by an afternoon tea dance. Enjoy the morning strolling around the towns vibrant centre. In the afternoon we visit Tipetino, a town at the bottom of The Brenner pass, the pass which goes from Austria to Italy. DAY 6 A day out to Riva del Garda based on the northern point of this stunningly beautiful and largest Italian Lake. Riva is a good sized town and has plenty going on, with a charming pedestrianised medieval centre. DAY 7 After breakfast it’s time to start the return journey and travel to our overnight hotel in Strasbourg. DAY 8 After breakfast we continue our journey home.

Bedford OWB (1944) 29 Seater Reg: GAL 967 Johnson Bros Tours operated this vehicle in the 60’s. In 2002 it was recovered in Scotland from a breakers yard. Restoration took place over a period of 3 ½ years and it is now back to it’s former glory.
