OUR MISSION IS TO TRANSFORM GLASS INTO BREATHTAKING LIGHT AND DESIGN EXPERIENCES Leon Jakimic founded Lasvit with a single vision – to create the perfect experience through the quality of light, glass, and design. The list of Lasvit’s art pieces includes hand-blown objects in private residences, public spaces and luxurious hotels as well as in high-end boutiques and extraordinary interiors. Lasvit is currently developing and producing a wide range of glass panel sheets for the architecture industry.

Lasvit’s commitment to creativity and innovation has resulted in creative collaborations with some of the world’s most celebrated designers including Ross Lovegrove, Nendo Studio, Arik Levy, Fabio Novembre or Michael Young. Lasvit projects span the globe from London, Paris and Prague, to international cities including Moscow, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Singapore. Projects vary from glass sculptures for private residences, to large-scale installations for luxury boutiques and hotels. ASIA / HOTEL OUR ÉCLAT WORK BEIJING One of the city’s most elegant hotels is the striking Hotel Éclat. Forming part of the Parkview Green development in the Chaoyang district, the architectural masterpiece is a gleaming pyramid enveloping four steel and glass towers connected by a dramatic 236-meter-long bridge. Hotel Éclat sits at the apex of the structure. The hotel also houses an astounding art collection that includes pieces by Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol and Zeng Fanzhi. Magical Abyss Lasvit Product Designer Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá Interior Designer LRF Designers Limited / Lasvit has created its own masterpiece for the hotel lobby. Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá’s dynamic ceiling installation reflects the flow of energy in the space through its hand-blown glass components. The blue elements of the sculpture represent moving water in the form of waves and whirlpools whilst the few red elements determine the direction of flow. Together, they emit calming blue-purple hues intensified by the stainless steel mirror plates above.

FOUR SEASONS HOTEL BEIJING This luxury hotel, located within the Yansha area of the Central Business District, is positioned in the city’s most dynamic business and entertainment area. The Four Seasons Hotel is warm and individual touches enhance the residential feeling of this accommodation in Beijing. Illuminated glass sculptures by Lasvit adorn different parts of the hotel; they can be seen in the lobby area, multifunction room and in the Italian and Chinese restaurant. Grain Fields Lasvit Product Designer Katarína Kudějová Fulínová Interior designer Hirsch Bedner Associates / Katarína was inspired to use plastic by grain fields, into which a wind is blowing and the subsequent movement of the strands makes waves.

BEIJING KERRY CENTRE OFFICE TOWER Beijing Kerry Centre’s prime location in the heart of the Central Business District puts you right at the doorstep of mainland China’s commercial activity. Everything you need for maximum productivity is located under one roof, at one attractive, highly visible address. Lasvit’s illuminated sculpture embellishes the lobby of this tower. Sunset Lasvit product Designer Katarína Kudějová Fulínová Interior Designer Kerry Properties (China) Ltd. / This volume of plastic from Katarína is created by a network of glass sticks which is made of two stems weaving in and out of each other. This light catches the unique moment when day transforms into night.

Its organic shape spirals freely through the open space in a dance-like motion, yet it is mathematically precise in its essence. The topaz amber glass body of the sculpture intertwines with the supporting framework and is adorned with 850 glass leaves of varying sizes. Lighting comes from the gilded ceiling with sheets of gold, creating a soft diffused light.

SHANGRI-LA JINGAN WEST SHANGHAI The Shangri-La Jing An hotel is the focal center of the impressive 450,000-square-meter Jing An Kerry Centre, which integrates a primary hotel, retail, office and residential spaces overlooking a beautifully landscaped piazza. The hotel’s 508 rooms occupy the top 29 floors of the 60-story tower, one of the tallest structures in an area that includes the western terminus of Shanghai’s historic Nanjing Road. ONE PARK GUBEI SHANGHAI Still partly under construction, the One Park Gubei project is to become the most luxurious residential development in Shanghai. There are eight apartment blocks in the project. Lasvit provided lighting sculptures for each block’s Main and Underground Lobby, starting with blocks 6 and 7, which house showcase apartments with additional Lasvit sculptures. The development will also include villas, a clubhouse and access to a golf course. Flounces Lasvit Product Designer Katarína Kudějová Fulínová Interior Designer MEGO Shanghai / The Main Lobby installations at the One Gubei Park apartment blocks feature nearly three meter tall lighting sculptures by Katarína Kudějová Fulínová. Each tubular segment is hand shaped to create subtle curves, further underlined by the flower-like overall design. EAST PACIFIC CENTER SHENZEN East Pacific Center is a skyscraper complex currently located in Shenzhen, China. The complex consists of four buildings, the taller of which (Tower A) reaches to 306 meters, and 85 stories. Buildings A and B are intended for residential use and will be joined with a sky bridge. Buildings C and D contain offices and were completed in 2010. Twill in the Wind Lasvit Product Designer Táňa Dvořáková Interior Designer Hirsch Bedner Associates / Lasvit enhanced the East Pacific Center interior by a series of lighting sculptures based on the Twill technique of connecting tens of thousands of fine crystal beads into a texture resembling fabric. In this case, the glass fabric pieces appear to float in the wind with airy grace of a silk scarf. This sense of movement is emphasized by a play of prismatic colors that glisten when walking under this magnificent art work.

Lasvit designers were asked to create a unique lighting sculpture for one of Manila’s private residence in residential part of Makati. The simplicity of form focuses on the distinctive qualities of glass itself. ‘Drops’ reminds us that when worked with, glass is a liquid no thicker than honey. Looking up from the dining table, the sparkling mass simulates a frozen waterfall.

Hydrangea Lasvit Product Designer Jana Růžičková Interior Designer HBA London / Lasvit designed a lighting sculpture for an Omkar show flat in one of their recent real-estate developments in Mumbai. The design is inspired by the amorphous textures and shapes of the hydrangea flower. The mounds of individually attached petals are made of handblown glass chips with structured surfaces. The glass is clear, with metal coating and creates an effect of depth and luster. This lustrous theme is further enriched by the soft metallic coating of the ceiling.

Oculus Lasvit Product Designer Táňa Dvořáková, Bahaa Ghorab of Sheikh Suroor Projects Department and Anna Goh of DBI Design Interior Designer DBI Design / Located in the Pre Function of the Etihad Towers is Oculus – an architectural lighting sculpture made of handcrafted crystal and hand-blown glass components. Oculus weighs an impressive 12 tons in all, consisting of more than 250,000 crystal components and 12,800 artistic hand-blown glass components. Oculus goes far beyond normal glass art and lighting installations. The Oculus’ final diameter is 16 meters and installation of the design required 12 weeks. Bubbles in Space Lasvit Product Designer Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá / Interior Designer DBI Design This lighting sculpture consists of thousands of small hand-blown crystal bubbles gathered into three large clusters, resembling snowballs with additional drifting bubbles sparkling around them. The spatial arrangement is of changing visual energy, as visitors move up and down the escalators below them. Its horizontal elements evoke seashore grasses, woven horizontally, gradually thicker, with deeper red tones near the base, then orange and yellow nearing the top, evoking a mood of sunset on the seashore. Endless Ribbon Lasvit Product Designer Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá Interior Designer BBG-BBGM New York / The Catalan Restaurant of the Rosewood Hotel features a Lasvit lighting sculpture composed of kiln-glass, subtly supported by linear stainless-steel tubing. The lightly opaque shells, in amber and light smoke tones, are strung on intertwined steel ribbons, lit internally to draw focus to the lighted elements.

Spring Lasvit Product Designer Luděk Hroch Interior Designer BBG-BBGM New York / Designer Luděk Hroch’s glass lighting sculpture brings a playful element to the Senses Spa within the Rosewood Hotel. Spring’s glittery branches of hand blown crystal glass, on a polished nickel finish, contrasts with the soothing and restrained overall design of the spa, its spacious rooms and soft colors. The sculpture is just over four meters long, lending the space a deep sense of luxury.

RIHAN HEIGHTS ABU DHABI Rihan Heights is a venue comprised of five residential towers featuring charming sights and attractive villas nearby. This complex is located on the corner of Arzanah, a beautiful community by Capitala developers. The Rihan Heights towers contain 854 apartments ranging from one to three-bedroomed duplex penthouses. Lasvit designer Luděk Hroch comes with the perfect finishing touch to this luxurious complex – with six extraordinary glass art installations expressing the Earth’s Elements. Elements Lasvit Product Designer Luděk Hroch Interior Designer Sparch / Fire, earth, water, wood and metal inspired Lasvit designer Luděk Hroch to eternalise them in his lighting installations called the Elements. There is one lighting piece in each of the towers, each evoking one of the elements of nature. In the center of Rihan Heights, in the Clubhouse, another art piece by Luděk Hroch embellishes the ceiling. This sculpture represents a combination of all five colors – the joining of all five of the Earth’s Elements at once.

The futuristic design of this tower represents Abu Dhabi’s recent technical and cultural evolution. Hyatt Capital Gate boasts a unique shape with sleek exterior styling. In an effort to honour the past and rejoice in the future, Lasvit furnished a one-of-a-kind glass art lighting fixture for the Capital Gate lobby. Wave Lasvit Product Designer Mária Hostinová, Martin Dufresne of U+A Interiors Interior Designer U+A Interiors Lighting Designer DPA Lighting Consultants / The Wave installation reminds its observers of a long ocean wave which twines around the eclipse shape of the lighting. It is over 17 meters long, almost 5 meters wide, 9 meters high and compounded of more than 6,200 components. The eclipse is designed in three layers, embellished with hand-blown and hand-shaped pieces installed vertically. Most of them are made of clear glass and decorated with relief lines.

THE DUBAI METRO Two major metro stations in Dubai, Khalid Bin Al Waleed Station and Al Rigga Station, have accented their modern look with impressive decorative light fixtures designed by Lasvit. Busy servicing tourists, businesspeople, politicians, shoppers, and others, The Dubai Metro stations are seen and visited by countless people on a daily basis. Recent renovations have brought light and modern luxury to the Dubai Metro. Water Lasvit Product Designer Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá Interior Designer KCA International / The beautiful Water lighting sculpture, designed by Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá, graces the ceilings of the Khalid Bin Al Waleed Station. Two parts make up Water, which has come to be coined “a giant jellyfish” by the public. The base features textured bent glass that connects to the second part – a stylized waterfall phased into hand-blown, hollow glass drops. A stainless steel finish completes the design, which uses LEDs and RGB-based optical fibre with a 150W projector to cast its beautiful glow. Four nearly identical pieces comprise the work. Three distinct pieces create Fire - the Dome, the Sky Ring and the Flame. Radiant red-fused bent-glass mosaic tiles and hand-blown glass make the Dome an unforgettable light sculpture. Opal-white glass composites create the Sky Ring. The centerpiece of the entire design, the Flame, brings together the hand-blown glass parts, each one unique.

This effect gives the sculpture a deep, delicate color and texture, without excessive glitter. Whirlwind Lasvit Product Designer Táňa Dvořáková Interior Designer Hirsch Bedner Associates / Feel the energy of Whirlwind by Táňa Dvořáková with its swirling glass leaves. They exude a dynamic energy reminiscent of the romantic fall season, when sudden gusts of wind lift swirling patterns of leaves into the weightless air. A soft touch of amber recalls the warm colors of autumn. The magnificent Whirlwind sculpture features an upper stainless frame that is covered with flat and fritted glass. The 400 hand-blown glass leaves cascade upward toward a single point of illumination.

The sculpture’s lightness and grace consists of four layers of clear and opaque hand-blown glass tubes, each group enclosed by its specific circular or crescent shape. The repetition of gently curved tube elements creates an effect of movement, reminiscent perhaps of a swirling skirt or ballerina gracefully suspended in space.

EUROPE / SHANGRI-LA OUR BOSPHORUS WORK ISTANBUL The Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul is a modern oasis of culture. The hotel takes its design theme from ancient palaces with swathes of marble, glittering chandeliers and a mix of European, Asian, and Turkish design. This outstanding hotel is located between Dolmabahce Palace and Naval Museum, on the European coast of the Bosphorus. Lasvit created a breathtaking light and design experience within the lobby, atrium and bar of the Shangri-La. Hydrogene Mosaic Lasvit Product Designer Tomáš Hovorka Interior Designer LFR Designers (Hong Kong) / The hotel bar features yet another lighting sculpture produced by Lasvit. The Hydrogene mosaic symbolizes the movement of liquid, air bubbles in water and the fluidity of glass. This design delivers sufficient light in a currently fashionable style. Rain Flower Lasvit Product Designer Katarína Kudějová Fulínová Interior Designer LFR Designers (Hong Kong) / A dominant feature of Atrium is its cascade-style lighting sculpture, suspended above two floors of the hotel and beautifully lighting the entire area. The shape of this unique glass sculpture is based on a genre of stylized flowers. Each varied ‘layer’ of this unusual piece is enhanced by hand-blown drops that feature dynamic and sculptural scenes like rain falling from the sky. Turkish Flower Lasvit Product Designer Katarína Kudějová Fulínová, Ari Mahardhika Interior Designer LFR Designers (Hong Kong) / For the main lobby area of the hotel, Lasvit created glass art installations inspired by Turkish ornaments. This custom-designed glass sculpture features a combination of hand-blown glass and polished pearls, beautifully complementing the atmosphere within the space.

SAKE NO HANA RESTAURANT LONDON London’s Sake no Hana Restaurant by Hakkasan provides a peaceful setting with classy décor and exquisite Japanese cuisine. Like the ideal finishing to a remarkable interior design, Lasvit’s Bamboo Forest glass art lighting sculpture brightens the restaurant’s bar as well as the mood. Bamboo Forest Lasvit Product Designer Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá Interior Designer Hakkasan / This vibrant green glass art installation, Bamboo Forest, resembles tubular bamboo shoots growing downward in varying lengths. Each individual bamboo shoot has its own shape and style, offering natural curves in a beautiful, organic green hue. The Bamboo Forest enhances the bar’s atmosphere with the illusion of a bamboo wall. When viewed together as a single entity, the bamboo stems almost create the impression of a real forest.

BOODLES SLOANE STREET Boodles at Sloane Street is situated in the middle of a large, busy intersection in Knightsbridge. The premises offer clientele the comfort of a precisely designed interior using the highest quality materials, finishes and details. The special feature of the shop is a sculptural glass semi-circular staircase which accommodates the “cascade” of a jewel-like chandelier from the ceiling into the stairwell. A similar type of crystal sculpture forms the back of the shop window, providing drama and accent to the merchandise.

In line with other Boodles boutiques, the Savoy location will also display gorgeous gems and jewellery in a beautifully and brightly lit glass and stainless steel showcase. Lasvit’s Lotus Flower, a handcrafted glass art lighting fixture in the shape of an exotic flower designed by Petra Řehořová, complements the elegance and sophistication of Boodles and the Hotel Savoy. Lasvit designer Petra Řehořová intended for this one-of-a-kind design, inspired by a real lotus flower, to project harmony, gentleness, and purity. The designer used a traditional handcrafting technique known as hand molding to create the individual petals of the lotus.

PÉRIGUEUX Monferrier is located in the “Périgord Noir” about 20 minutes from the UNESCO medieval city of Périgueux in France. The castle was built at the beginning of the 17th century as the property of two Périgordine aristocratic families. It was designed with modern classical interiors weaved with touches of French and Chinois influences, highlighted by Lasvit´s contemporary chandeliers. This sensitivity has resulted in an ambiance that is as relevant and comfortable as it is elegant. Growing Vases Installation Lasvit Product Design by Nendo Inerior Designer Alex Cho / This extraordinary, playful lighting installation alludes to a whimsical glass forest filled with abstract flowers and branches. Metal pipes were used by glassblowers, still attached to the glass objects that they were used to make. By turning the pipes into flowers and branches and the glass into a vase, we literally turned convention on its head, making flowers blooming in vases into vases blooming from flowers to represent the flower bulbs that draw nutrients from plants through photosynthesis and store new life. Press Lamps Installation Lasvit Product Design by Nendo Inerior Designer Alex Cho / The combination of elegant lightness and minimalism creates practical, beautiful objects with evocative, delicate appeal. In this design, glass tubes are pressed as though they have been pinched, and the light source is fitted into the narrowed space that results. Press lamps rely on light sources tucked into compressed glass tubes to produce soft, organic forms. They are in two colors – clear and smoke.

Thousands of subtle sparkling crystals hung in space form the shape of a rare orchid, the symbol of beauty, luxury and excellence as well as the emblem of Guerlain's famous line of products, Orchidée Imperiale. The crystal orchid sculpture symbolizes both the Bohemian perfection of Lasvit and Guerlain's world of beauty in perfect consonance, allowing boutique visitors to fully experience the exceptional splendor of the purely unique.

White Rose Petals Lasvit Product Designer Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá Interior Designer Rockwell Group Europe / The festive ambience of the Westin Palace Hotel ballroom is graced by an airy lighting sculpture design reminiscent of white rose-petals. Hand blown and shaped in opaque white glass, the oversized petals float in the air, loosely spilling from a central cluster outward to the edges of the room. The glass petals dance in the air, inviting hotel guests to dance below them.

Green, Blue and Amber Bamboo Lasvit Product Designer Jitka Kamencová Skuhravá Interior Designer Cígler Marani / The Bamboo sculpture draws its inspiration from the woody stems of the bamboo plant. Individual components are sculpturally shaped as hollow plant stems with cut edges. This element brings dynamic organic shape to the piece. Crystal hand blown glass tubes imitate the surface of bamboo and are skillfully ground into them at both ends, evoking the traditional cutting of natural bamboo. All this is enhanced by light concentrated at the edges of glass.

COFFEEMANIA MOSCOW The Coffeemania restaurant was designed by the David Collins Design Studio as a flagship branch of the Coffeemania chain. Thus in addition to its great coffee and famous culinary delights, it must also offer a sophisticated design experience for its Moscow visitors. The trendy restaurant is situated in the city centre, not far from Red Square. Lasvit embellished Moscow´s Coffeemania restaurant with new chandeliers and lighting fixtures, based on designs by London´s famous David Collins Design Studio. Lasvit glass and metal artisans created seventy custom-made chandeliers and table lamps that perfectly complement the restaurant´s ambience. Octagons Product Designer David Collins Interior Designer David Collins / The Lasvit custom-made chandeliers elegantly follow the shape of an octagon. Metal foundations in two layers embrace flat glass components in white and golden tones. The metal has the aged brass surface finish that gives all chandeliers an antiquelook.

THE LANGHAM HOTEL CHICAGO The Langham Hotel in Chicago is located in one of the city’s most famous downtown riverfront landmarks – the 52-story Mies van der Rohe designed building at 330 N. Wabash Avenue. Lasvit’s in-house designers, Jana Růžičková and Tomáš Hovorka, in collaboration with London´s Richmond International, produced two elegant and expansive glass art installations. Pebble Stones Lasvit Product Designer Jana Růžičková, Tomáš Hovorka Interior Designer Richmond International London / The installation comprises hand-blown glass pebbles in two sets of colors, suspended at varied spacing and lit from above by LED’s. The bubble-like pebbles are individually unique in shape and coated internally with liquid metal, referencing water formations and creating a reflective, mirror-like effect. As visitors move away from the river, located closest to the reception area, and towards the Pavilion, the color of the glass pebbles shift from blues and silvers to bronzes and coppers.

The piece is a construction of narrow technical glass tubes with square profiles and lit by LED lights. This modern technical look exquisitely contrasts against the traditional white stucco ceiling.

The hand-blown glass chandelier design is a collaborative effort between Lasvit and designer Philippe Starck.
