Surrounded by beautiful coconut and palm trees and lovely rocky cliffs, Colva Beach is a great place to enjoy amidst a beautiful natural setup. Colva is one beach which has almost everything to offer to everyone in the family - drinks for men, shopping stalls for women, live western music played by bands and water sports for youngsters, a lot of sand for making castles for children. The security and assurance of life guards and the safe waters of the ocean near the beach make the trip to Colva an enjoyable and unforgettable event for the entire family. Fact Lined by coconut palms facing the serene Arabian Sea, it stretches for 25 kilometers and is the longest beach in Goa. Distance It is about 6 kilometers away from Madgaon, 26 Kms from Dabolim airport (not 68 kms as some websites say) and 39 kilometers from Panjim. Important places nearby The religious places near Colva beach are Shree Damodar Temple, Chandranath Temple, Shree Navdurga Temple, Shantadurga Temple, Jama Masjid at Sanguem, Cabo de Rama and the Buddhist caves at Rivona. Eating Like all other beaches in Goa, there are many shacks located on the beach that serve tasty food and drinks. If you are on a shoestring budget eat in restaurants that aren't on the beach as they are more affordable. Accommodation You will find many hotels, resorts, guesthouses, service apartments, villas in the area. Things to do Engaging in various water sports is one of the most common things for tourists. People can opt for speed boat riding or jet skiing. For speed lovers jet skiing is the sport. The machine is very simple to handle but mostly an instructor accompanies the rider.
