MEMBER TESTIMONIAL
After reaching out to Richard Brooks to join the chamber, Leaflet Delivery UK Swadlincote were invited to an event at Burton Albion vs Oxford United. It was a pleasant event to attend and meet similar-minded people in business. Since then we chose to join the chamber.
That decision was definitely the correct one. Everyone I have spoken to at the Chamber has been polite and has taken an interest in our business. We recently attended our first networking event and met many businesses whose services we could potentially use to grow our marketing and client bases.
Everything from onboarding with Jaye and Hamish through to talking to business owners has been a breeze and I would definitely recommend the Chamber to other business owners within the community.
We are really looking forward to speaking with more business owners and growing our business and helping other businesses grow their client base.

WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT
RICHARD WILEMAN PRESIDENT OF BURTON & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCELadies and gentlemen, esteemed members of the Burton and District Chamber of Commerce, distinguished guests, and fellow community leaders,
It is with great pleasure and honour that I stand before you today as we gather for our Annual General Meeting. As the President of the Burton Chamber of Commerce, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such dedicated individuals who share a common goal – the prosperity and growth of our beloved community.
Over the past year, our chamber has faced unprecedented challenges. Yet, in the face of adversity, our members have demonstrated resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment. Together, we have navigated uncertain times, adapted to new realities, and emerged stronger than ever.
Reflecting on our achievements, I am filled with pride. From supporting local businesses through initiatives like our Shop Local campaign to advocating for policies that foster economic development, we have made significant strides in advancing the interests of our members and the broader community.
As we look to the future, we stand at a pivotal moment. The landscape of business is evolving rapidly, presenting both opportunities and challenges. It is incumbent upon us to remain agile, forward-thinking, and proactive in our approach.
We are delighted to confirm our Chamber Charity of the Year, YMCA and look forward to working closely with the successful organisation throughout the year.
In the coming year, let us redouble our efforts to foster collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity within our chamber and throughout Burton. By harnessing the collective
expertise, creativity, and passion of our members, I am confident that we will continue to drive positive change and make a lasting impact on the prosperity and well-being of our community.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your dedication, support, and contributions to the Burton Chamber of Commerce. Together, we are stronger, and together, we will build a brighter future for generations to come.
