My playground is sustainable because of all my playground equipment are recycled. My playground has a large green patch of grass that is good for running or playing sports such as soccer. I also have a large tree that provides a lot of oxygen and shade. I also have a small pond that can collect rain water to water the flower bed and tree.

My playground is sustainable and it's very safe for both children and adults to play on. People can go to have their picnic at the playground. Any person can come and have fun and children can play and slide in the playground and have fun in case it raining people can go and stay in the house and all so I think my playground is going to be sustainable for about 10 years or more.

My playground is sustainable for many reasons and I will be listing some of them. Firstly, it is available for all ages because it has a baby/toddler area that will have supervision from volunteers that have had experience with looking after children. The parents can tell one of the members around what time they will be picking up their child so they are not too crowded; while the parents can do ANYTHING they want! Some of the equipment in my playground is a sandpit, rock climbing, a flying fox, a roundabout and two cubby houses that will have plenty of room so children can play with their friends. Secondly, EVERYTHING is recycable, so everything in there will be made out of old car Tyres, recycled plastic, wood and old bottle caps. So there will be no waste and even the bins will be compactors (basically when you put rubbish inside of the compactor it will crush the rubbish and it will turn into compost) it also has a bbq that families can come to all together and have a bbq on a nice, sunny day. You might be thinking about what all the smoke that comes out of it well all of will be used as electricity for when it becomes dark yet you still want to play there. The lights will also be waterproof and good for the environment. The floor will be made out of tyres that will come from old cars that broke down and cannot be used for driving and instead of throwing them out they will be used for the floor because it is recyable, soft and does not need to be replaced.

My recycled playground aims to promote bioidiversity in our community. It is very sustainable and it suits children of all ages. I have sustainable and recycled materials that are used to make the playground equipment. Some recycled materials include rubber from tyres you can't use anymore, this is ground down into small parts and laid down - this is used for the ground. For the playground equipment, any leftover wood and metal and any wood and metal that are not being used in our community is used...Also plastic from empty bottles and any other recycled plastic materials is recycled and made into a layer covering the metal on the swings and slides. Biodiversity means mostly comes from nature and protecting nature. We have a grass area. Also a garden that absorbs Co2 (carbon dioxide) and sends out oxygen. So I have planted many plants and have a small grass area. This makes sure the CO2 is absorbed from the air in our community. The recycled park could last for roughly 20 years without breaking apart but it still needs to be renovated every five years. (I think it will last 20 years, but I am not sure because I am not a builder).

This park is one of the most environmentally friendly parks with the slide, flying fox (pole and that on stick at the end), swing, little Dino spring thing, monkey bars and a 15cm metal fence (purple sticks) being made from reused metal from cars and other stuff. Also equipment made from reused wood are the picnic seats castle (attached to the slide) wood box holding the flying fox, sand pit 30cm tall wood border and the bench. Also the plants are lace-leaf, sago palm, Zanzibar plant and the tillandsia plant. And second to the last the rubber bits are the flying fox seat, and finally to make the grills use as little energy as it can - it is solar powered.

My vending machine is for any age. The machine is made of a recycled steel, a screen that is a cash register screen but it gives you $0.20, a hole to put in only cans and bottles, another hole that is connected to a money box that works if you put the button next to it, on the inside there is a bag that will be filled with the cans or bottles that you put in and there will also be a door at the back that any sustainable factory can take the cans and bottles and use them for stuff.

I have designed a sustainable park. The name of the park will be Eastwood park because we are in the South East. The park will have two huge slides made out of reused plastic. Also I have four bins made out of metal. For the basketball court I have used concrete and the backboard is made out of reused wood. The BBQ is new but there is a filter at the top which is like an exhaust fan. Also next to the BBQ we will have a drinking fountain and benches. For the bike stand it's used reused metal and the cycle track is made out of the same conrete used for the basketball court. The sandpit will have clean beach sand and next to it will be a fountain. The base for the top of the park will have wood and the hill will be using rubber. Also (not shown in the photo) we will have a car park.

This playground is designed for children 3-12 years old. It aims to promote biodiversity to our community. That means it will benefit our environment. Slide - the slide is made from metal and the ladder is made from reusable wood such as old benches and fences. Monkey bars - the monkey bars are made from old metal items such as old cars and poles. Tunnel - the tunnel is made out of big tubes donated by factories. Rock climbing wall - it can be made out of clay and rocks. Swings - it can be made from rope and reusable rubber. Garden - in the garden there are lots of plants that have their own sprinkler. They are mostly succulents such as Aloe Vera and Snake Plants which can hold lots of water. So they are easy to look after. They are very improtant to our environment. So I hope you enjoy my playground.
