Baylor University in Waco is the largest Baptist university in the world, and the oldest institution of higher learning in continuous operation in Texas. The school offers baccalaureate programs, master’s programs, and doctoral programs, as well as multiple professional programs, scholarships, work study programs, study abroad and ministry programs. Upon graduation, many Baylor graduates choose to make their home in Waco and the surrounding communities such as Hewitt. The Baylor Bears have a history in maintaining national sports rankings—along with quarterback Robert Griffin III winning the Heisman Trophy in 2011. McLennan Community College (MCC)

is a public two-year college that offers associate degrees as well as one- and two-year specialized training that prepares graduates for the workforce. The college offers more than 40 programs in health professions, business & industry, public services, creative arts, liberal arts, and STEM. Many programs transfer directly into bachelor’s degrees offered on MCC’s campus from state universities–including Texas Tech University and Tarleton State University. Master’s and doctoral degrees are also available through the partner universities. MCC has a diverse and vibrant population of about 9,000 students each semester and offers numerous campus activities, student organizations, volunteer and special enrichment opportunities that serve the entire community. MCC employees approximately 800 people, including about 250 faculty members who are state and national award recipients and industry experts.

Rapoport Academy Rapoport Academy is a free, open enrollment charter school serving students in Pre K through 12th grade from 22 Central Texas districts. Rigorous, hands-on, relevant and innovative learning in small classes provides a curriculum that prepares graduates to be successful at top colleges and universities. Small class sizes allow for individualized instruction and an intentional, relationship-building community. The STEM, Entrepreneurship and Early College High School program is built around science, technology, engineering and math with thorough integration of the arts. This program allows students to earn over 60 hours of transferable college credit during the high school day with no cost for college tuition, books, fees, or transportation. Opportunities include foreign language study in Spanish, paid internships, engineering, design, sports, art, music and more. Texas State Technical College Waco

Texas State Technical College provides highlyspecialized and advanced technical education that can lead to great career opportunities. TSTC offers technical associate degrees, certificate programs and workforce mastery skills that give students a competitive edge in the job market. Students gain extensive hands-on experience in laboratories learning by doing, spending their time working with the tools, technology and equipment they will use in future careers.
