Fiscal Highlights August 2016 Business Lexpo More than 60 businesses connected with one another and the Midlands community at the 2016 Business Lexpo as St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. Lexington Growth Forum A growth forum was held for guests to see the economic impact of housing in Lexington County. September 2016 Professional Development Series Begins Members enjoyed the first of many professional development series designed to give professionals applicable skills to take back to the workplace. October 2016 Lexington Craft Beerfest The Chamber hosted the first Lexington Craft Beerfest at the new Icehouse Amphitheater in downtown Lexington. November 2016 New Faces Join Chamber Staff The Chamber staff welcomed Tabitha Davis, visitors center coordinator, and Adam DeLoach, director of membership, to the team. Fall Golf Classic Members and their colleagues teed off at Golden Hills Golf and Country Club during the 2016 Fall Golf Classic. February 2017 Wrapped Vehicle Forum Members met with Town Administrator Britt Poole and Mayor Pro-Tem Hazel Livingston to advocate for flexibility with the Town’s sign ordinance that affects small businesses with wrapped vehicles.

Chamber Awards Night Chamber Awards Night was held at Saluda Shoals Park where members celebrated the accomplishments of other local businesses and professionals.

8th Annual Oyster Roast and St. Patrick’s Day Party The 8th Annual Oyster Roast and St. Patrick’s Day Party brought the community to the Icehouse Amphitheater for food and fun.

May 2017 27th Annual Spring Golf Tournament Member businesses and professionals packed the Country Club of Lexington for the largest Spring Golf Tournament to date with more than 200 players and businesses set up on almost every whole and tee. Doris Burkett Scholarships Awarded The Chamber awarded two Lexington School District One students each with a $3,000 scholarship. June 2017 Member Appreciation Week Members enjoyed complimentary events that catered to the needs of their businesses and recognized their investment in the Chamber. Renovated Visitors Center The visitors center revitalized its look with the addition of new furniture, technology and décor. Metropol Named Board Chair Shelley Metropol, owner/broker with Experienced Real Estate Group, succeeded Tod Augsburger, president and CEO of Lexington Medical Center, as chair of the Chamber’s board of directors.

Accountant’s Conclusion

Based on our review, we are not aware of any material modifications that should be made to the accompanying financial statements in order for them to be in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. To improve the clarity of the communication of financial information, financial statements were converted using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) .

Since 1959, The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center and its staff have been driven to help build a better community that both our residents and visitors can enjoy.

Our Goals Before the beginning of fiscal year 2017, the Chamber staff participated in a full-day strategic planning session with Jim Fadell with Carolina Training & Assessments to establish goals to accomplish. • Have a new, mobile-friendly, live and operational website that delivers a user experience acceptable to internal and external customers • Implement an on-going process that identifies public policy issues based on member input and develops a strategy to address them • Develop a comprehensive timeline that defines the application process and submission of application to the US Chamber for accreditation • Raise the awareness of Chamber vision and mission • Develop and implement a plan to raise the average retention
