The Chairman’s Circle was founded in 2012 with the goal of moving the Chamber away from being dependent on government funding so that the organization could be an independent voice for business.
Chairman’s Circle Successes Since the inception of the Chairman’s Circle, the Chamber and our partners have brought more than 200 projects, 19,344 new jobs and $4.72 billion in new direct capital investment into the Greater Memphis region. Strengthen the Business Climate : Public Policy Task Force Tennessee boasts one of the country’s most attractive business climates. With no income tax and business- friendly policies, the state has seen a boom in economic investments and business relocations and expansions in recent years. To make sure Memphis benefits from those investments, the Chairman’s Circle is focused on a West Tennessee Strategy to build strong relationships with political leaders across the state and to convene local stakeholders to prioritize and advocate for necessary policy and investment for our region.
