History of The Blind Side: The Evolution of a Story from the Author’s Perspective Lewis takes audiences through the “wonder and outrage” that inspired him to write The Blind Side. What began as an investigation into NFL players’ salaries evolved into a “little parable to describe the waste of the structure of our society.” At the podium, Lewis discusses his research into the evolution of football that lead him to uncover the story of Michael Oher.

On The Difference Trust Makes Collins shares a famously close bond with her adopted brother Michael. When Collins became Homecoming Queen, Michael was her escort, and they also shared a common bond through their unique athletic pursuits. After Michael became a first-round NFL draft pick for the Ravens, Collins continued to support him with frequent visits to Baltimore.
