Arena District DORA Columbus Crew
The Arena District in Downtown Columbus is a triple threat for sports lovers. Navigate to Nationwide Arena for National Hockey League action from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Head to Huntington Park for minor-league baseball with the Columbus Clippers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. Leap to Lower.com Field for Major League Soccer excitement with the Columbus Crew.
Listen to live music outside at KEMBA Live! and stroll through the district sipping your favorite brew in the new Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). The DORA allows visitors to carry alcoholic beverages in marked cups outdoors throughout much of the district’s 300,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.
COLUMBUS CREW FAN GUIDE
The $314 million soccer-specific Lower.com Field, in Columbus’ bustling Arena District, is the newest Ohio professional sports stadium and home to Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew.
There’s much more to a Crew game than 90 minutes (plus extra time) of action. Enjoy the league’s largest beer garden, where you can nosh on some of the city’s favorite bites from local hot spots including Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, Hot Chicken Takeover, Donatos and Dirty Franks. Join the diehards in the Nordecke, a standing-room section that can accommodate nearly 3,400 black-and-gold-clad supporters. Park nearby in the Arena District or get a room at the nearby Arena District Hyatt Regency or Hilton Columbus Downtown, then walk to Betty’s Bar to meet other fans before or after the game. Above all, wear black and gold to look like a local.
