Q: Why did you choose to stay in Medina County?

A: Home sweet home. Many great things about living here make it my forever place to call “home.” This community is a great place to find employment or pursue educational goals. Medina County has many wonderful people and opportunities, especially with being conveniently located close to all the major highways, making it easy for our residents to commute.

Q: What’s one of your favorite things about where you live?

A: Medina County was founded in the 19th century. Our residents value that rich history by respecting the past and working towards preserving the future. Their commitment to our community is an endearing quality that few places can match and makes the residents of Medina County one of a kind.

Q: What are your favorite places to explore around the county?

A: I enjoy visiting Mapleside Farms in Brunswick. The farm is charming and has a timeless ability to captivate and delight visitors of all ages. I have to also include the Medina city downtown square and all of the great events and fun stuff by Main Street Wadsworth. Both downtowns are full of unique shops with year-round activities such as band concerts and farmer’s markets.

Q: What drew you to live and work here?

A: When my husband and I searched for a home 33 years ago, we found that Medina County had a wonderful family-friendly environment. It is a beautiful community. We found a home in the lovely township of Hinckley and have been there since the day we were married. I enjoy working for Medina County and feel fortunate to represent the residents as County Commissioner.

Q: What do you like about where you live?

A: What I love most about Medina County is its people — our residents care about the community. We also have excellent school systems that rank within the top 20% in Ohio. And finally, Medina County is home to many local charities engaged in the community’s needs. Local governments work together and collaborate for the betterment of all.

Q: Where do you like to spend your time?

A: Medina County has great local restaurants that I love to try. Thyme 2 is one of my favorite places to go.
