“WE ALWAYS FEATURE THE LATEST AND GREATEST ITEMS, TRENDS AND COLORS — THIS IS THE ONLY SHOW IN THE AREA THAT FEATURES NARICERTIFIED REMODELERS.”

— CHRIS KAMIS

New to the 2022 show, attendees will have the chance to buy VIP tickets, which will allow them to skip lines, take part in private one-on-one conversations with contractors of their choice, access additional food and drinks and more. Additionally, for the first time, the show 8 Remodel Ohio | Fall/Winter 2021

will feature a “he shed” versus “she shed” exhibit — one shed will be decked out from the male perspective, and the other will feature a more feminine touch, Kamis says. The public can vote on which option they like the most. As in years past, the show will feature the Maker’s Market exhibit, where local artists come to ply their wares; a food feature, where attendees can watch chefs in action as they put the latest smart appliances to the test; and a home improvement celebrity appearance, most likely with meet-and-greet sessions after the live stage appearances. So far, more than 120 home improvement vendors have signed up for the show, many of which have regional and national accolades under their belts. Kamis expects the remaining 60 slots to be filled by the time the show rolls around. “Our average vendor has been in business more than 20 years. They’re top-notch in the industry and know what they’re talking about. They can steer you in the right direction on what the trends are,” Kamis says. “If you have a project you’re considering, it’s the best place to go. We’re a one-stop shop. Where else can people go to get so many professionals in one place? If you were going to do that on your own, it would take you months.” He notes that Huntington Convention Center is a much more central location than the IX Center where the show used to be held,

so he expects to see people coming in from all sides of the city, including condo and apartment dwellers who currently live downtown. “The future for home improvement is so bright,” Kamis says. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years, and I’ve never seen so much innovation with products and designs in our industry.”
