No Bad DJ Please
Planing a party includes a lot of effort and cash, whether it be a wedding reception, birthday party for a 16th and choosing the right DJ is important as they can make or break the night. Hiring the right DJ is very important, so be sure to interview a few before making the booking. Always listen in hard and make sure their personality and character is best suited for your requirements.
The DJ may let you know what music options you have - It's your party so you should decide what music you and your guests want to hear. For example you may want commercial old and new music, but the DJ only has specialist music which wouldn't be any use to you. Any good and reputable DJ will know what to play and when to play it, along with any requests you have.
"Whats the price?" - If the DJ says that they will name a price at the end of the night then alarm bells should be ringing. A professional mobile disco should confirm an agreed price well before the party and you should ask for the quote by email. If you want to extend the DJ playing time you need to also agree a fee for the extra work.
Big Headed / No Customer focus Some will think they're some sort of god when they become a professional DJ, however this is far from the case if they're not all that good. If the DJ asks you lots of questions about how you want the night to go and what sort of music you want playing you are on to a winner. If they go on by saying that your party is a small occasion for me and this will be a breeze you can definitely count this DJ is an unprofessional who doesn't deserve your time or money.
"Do I get free drinks?" - It can be a big problem if they ask this question! A lot of DJ's believe they perform better when they're drunk but this is definitely not the case and could in fact ruin your party if they are. If a DJ is professional they should be able to perform their gig well and confidentially. Also a drunk male DJ will often flirt a lot once they have had a drink which isn't professional and could ruin the party if anyone gets offended.
You need a DJ who is good fun, professional and lively that can get you and your guests up on their fee to dance the night away. Resources: https://www.mobile-dj-hire.com.au/dj-brisbane http://ezinearticles.com/?No-Bad-DJPlease&id=7885396
