It is recommended that residents stop watering lawns in mid-October. New lawn variances are available with proper soil amendment (4 cubic yards per 1,000 square feet of lawn). To properly water the lawn and comply with water restrictions a variance is required. Please call 336-4134 for more information.
Trees, shrubs, flower and vegetable gardens may be watered at any time by hand, drip irrigation, low volume, bubblers or by weeping-type soaker hoses. Using a watering can or someone holding a hose with a restrictive nozzle is watering by hand.
City of Greeley Water Conservation
Home car washing is allowed with a restrictive nozzle hose and bucket, and minimal runoff. For complete water restriction information, call 970336-4134 or visit www.greeleygov.com/wc.
