This year the Utah Boat Show features over 250,000 square foot exhibit space with $30 million worth of new 2016 boats, recreational equipment and marine accessories. Boat displays will include: bass boats, ski boats, wakeboard boats, cruisers, family pleasure boats, houseboat Dealers, fishing boats, pontoons, speedboats, drift boats and personal water craft. The latest boating accessories will also be on sale including: waterskis, wakeboards, wakeskates, tubes, boat towers, sound equipment, lights, boat covers, clothing, lifejackets, wetsuits, and swimsuits.

EXPERIENCE THE RAIL JAM Pro Riders like Shawn Watson will be demonstrating the newest gear and the latest tricks at the all new “Wake Park.” The Rail Jam will also feature the new 280’ double pond with the System 2.0 cable continually pulling the riders over the rails into the landing ponds. Other pro riders that will be performing and signing autographs at Marine Products and Utah Water Sports: Shane Bonifay from Liquid Force; Parks Bonifay and Eric Ruck From Ronix; Chris Sullivan and Chris Rossi from Radar Waterskis; Aaron Rathy from Byerly; Marcus Brown from HO Waterskis; Jeff McKee from slingshot, and others.

FLY TIE THEATER The very popular Fly Tying Theater, an animated presentation of fly tying techniques demonstrated by local pro fly tying experts, is back again this year. Nationally-recognized fishing experts will talk fishing during the four-day event. Featuring Billy Cosby and several others.

CLIF GALLAGHER BASS PRO Clif Gallagher has been featured on the television show Hooked On Utah hosted by Gary Winterton several times for his skills in Bass Fishing and Bass Tournament Organization. He has taught several bass fishing classes over the last 20 years in classroom and public settings.

DOG HUNTING, AGILITY AND OBEDIENCE DEMOS Dog Training Elite will be giving obedience and dog agility demonstrations. Demonstrations will begin on the 1/2 hour in the Southeast corner of the show. GOURMET COOKING Chef Bryan will host the Gourmet Outdoor and Indoor Cooking seminars. He’ll help you plan the perfect menu and be your shopping guide to help you know what to bring for your next great boating and outdoor adventure. Featuring some of his favorite guest chefs.

MEET THE PROS

HERE’S SOME OF THE WAKEBOARD, WAKESKATE AND WATERSKI PROS* YOU’LL BE ABLE TO MEET AT THIS YEAR’S UTAH BOAT SHOW. ERIC RUCK Eric is the Ronix team captain. His Ronix teammates say, “Ruck is the man. His contagious good vibes, carry on thru our team and make him the leader in so many ways.” Ruck is another rider who has done it all and won it all. He has pro tour titles, world champions, trick of the years, award winning shapes and constructions to his name. But he would like to be known nothing more, or nothing less as the rider and friend that people can always count on. SHAWN WATSON Florida’s Shawn Watson grew up on the water and started wakeboarding at the age of 12. Since then, Shawn has taken the sport by storm, claiming the Rookie of the Year award, multiple Pro Tour stop victories and two national titles. Shawn is a solid wake rider and just seems to dominate the competition out on the rails. Sponsor List: Nautiques, Liquid Force, Monster Energy, Billabong, Dragon, Kustom, Skullcandy, and Performance Ski & Surf. PARKS BONIFAY Bonifay was born in Pensacola, Florida. He became a professional wake boarder in 1994. Parks took the wakeboarding world by storm as a 14-year-old, winning the X-Games in his first visit. He has held many major titles including the Pro Wakeboard Tour titles in 1999 and 2001. When his dad put him on skis at a young age, he became, according to the Guinness World Records, the youngest water skier in the world at just six months, 28 days old. Parks became the first documented wake boarder to land

CHRIS ROSSI A native of Vermont, Chris began water skiing at the age of seven. In 1989, he won the US Nationals in the Jr. Boys Division and took 5th place in 1992. At the ’98 US Nationals he was second in Men’s 1 slalom. Chris actually tied for first place, but lost in a run-off. In Bakersfield, CA, at the ’99 US Nationals, he earned another second place medal in Men’s 1 Division. Chris is currently ranked 20th in the world with an average of 1 buoys @ 41’ off and competes on the US Pro Water Ski Tour. A member of “TEAM GOODE”, he recently skied his personal best--1 buoy at 41’ off in two record tournaments.

ERIC RUCK SHAWN WATSON PARKS BONIFAY

MARCUS BROWN Marcus Brown is one of the world’s most widely recognized icons in water skiing. His resume includes Titles as a University World Champion, an Australian Moomba Masters Champion and a U.S. Open Champion. He is a spokesperson for water sports and is currently the ambassador to the United States Olympic Committee for the sport of water skiing. If he could have it his way, everyone would be spending all summer shredding pretty much every sheet of glass between San Francisco and New York. Oh, and in their spare time they’d be pushing their limits doing anything else outside, rad and risky.

CHRIS SULLIVAN

CHRIS SULLIVAN Chris “Sully” Sullivan has had good run in the water-ski industry. As a pro tour competitor through the 90s early 2000’s, he earned several podium finishes and placed second behind Andy Mapple at the Orlando stop in 1999. Sully worked for HO Sports as a team skier, and when he retired from pro skiing, his job responsibilities phased into a brand manager position. Event management and production? He’s done that, too, heading up the U.S. Open at Downtown Disney in 2006. Now, as the VP of Global Branding at Radar Skis, his journey continues in a sport that he loves just about more than anything.

AARON RATHY Rathy was born March 17, 1988 in Nanaimo, B.C., Canada. He has been the recipient of many awards including: 2013: 1st Place, Red Bull Wake Open; 2009: “Rider of the Year,” Wake Awards; 2009: King of Wake Overall Champion; 2009: World Champion. If you were to meet Aaron on the street you would never know what kind of competitor he is. His cool vibe off the water is so different than on the water. The drive and passion to succeed at wakeboarding keeps him going. After landing several tricks that very few or no other rider has stomped. His buzz around the world has come full circle legit. The newest member of the 1080 club, Rathy has his goals set high again throughout the winter. To keep riding and progressing. “From Australia to Africa, this year ruled! I’ve had the chance to hang out with the most inspiring people I’ve ever met. Creative and talented riders with a different style and outlook than mine, I took it all in and my wakeboarding grew,” Aaron says.

A full-length feature documentary on Parks’ life was released on August 21, 2009, aptly titled “The Parks Documentary”. It chronicles the story of Park’s life, from his roots in water skiing and show skiing via his parents and grandparents, to his exploits, accomplishments and sheer dominance of the world of wakeboarding the past 12 years.
