Hi! My name is Aparna Varma and I am the founder and artist behind Green Bean Studio. Designed for the young at heart, our products celebrate the little things in life and feature fresh playful designs, whimsical characters and bright pops of color. As a kid I loved painting cards for family/friends and also proudly owned a big stationery trunk full of beautiful finds from across the globe. A few years ago(and finally!) I stopped and wondered – someone must be designing all this stationery…Who are these wonderful people? Where do they work? How are these products made? With my family’s support I went on a hunt for all these answers and stumbled upon this awesome world of stationery design + production and in 2013 Green Bean Studio was born. The idea that I could actually be one among the ‘awesome people’ who designed all the beautiful stationery in my trunk was a winner! I haven’t looked back since…
