It has been an encouraging process for them.’ Niall Cooper - Living Ghosts, Church Action on Poverty ‘The grant will play a very significant role in helping this project fulfils its goals and in particular to enable the key role of Ethiopian artist Nebyiu Assefa’ Dr Joanna Brown - Illustrated Trade Justice Storybook ‘At every workshop we ran, without exception, the staff were overwhelmed by what the participants achieved, both in visual art and dance. It is as a result of your support that we have so many testimonies; these are your stories too.’ Epic Arts – China Project 2007 ‘With each service our young people grow more confident both in the planning of worship – developing symbolic acts, writing prayers and meditations, and using liturgy effectively and creatively – and in its leading. Thank you for helping us grow what we are doing.’ Mass@St Barnabas

Festivalgoers give tens of thousands of pounds to Trust Greenbelt each year and this is distributed by the Festival Trustees in small and medium-sized grants at four reviews annually. Since its inception, Trust Greenbelt has awarded over £180,000 to nearly 100 individuals and initiatives – all thanks to your generosity.

Fresh, quirky ideas are what we’re into; ones that no-one else will fund – perhaps because the application isn’t great, even when the idea is. We make sure that grants are given to those who understand the equality of all regardless of religion, culture, gender or ethnicity. We want to be able to support more projects this year with larger grants but we need you to dig deep to help us achieve this collective gift-giving.
